"The maintenance here is very sufficient and friendly. The guy did not have the peace that he needed for my stove so he took time and brought up a whole new stove from the basement and set that up."
"Move into the building was good. However we are in corporate housing and we as tenants should not be asked to sign a lease, this goes through the housing company. From what we understand is your company is new to handling corporate housing clients and there are things that need to be reviewed procedural wise on your end. Amanda was very helpful with the obstacles we experienced through the paperwork. She was great! The building will be beautiful once the renovations are completed."
"I have been living here for 6 months. Wonderful staff and love my apartment! Amanda is awesome!"
"Entire first floor is wasted space. Completely barren. Elevators need some serious TLC. One has hardwood and the other has old carpet? Would it be such a hassle to make them identical? Theres a housekeeper however she doesnt clean anything in the public areas and instead she makes it more difficult for people to move in by closing one way doors on you and preventing you from using the elevator all while supervising and critiquing you the entire time. My apartment is perfect for me but the halls and main floor lobby havent been touched since the building was “remodeled”. Such a historic building should have respect and proper upkeep. Thank god for the random grocery carts. At first i thought: this is weird. Now im thankful that pushing your items around in one load is possible because we have a collection of rogue shopping carts. Apparently this is normal. Lots of positives! My air conditioning works amazing and is completely silent. My views are beautiful. My apartment is completely taken care of. I love my unit."
"The convenience of downtown living, plus amenities such as free parking and internet are what drew me to the McCurdy. Add to that the rich history of a building that is on the National Register of Historic Places and has modern touches like stainless steal appliances, granite countertops, a washer and dryer in each unit and a brewery on the main floor that often hosts food trucks and this place really has a lot of potential. But it falls short at just that. A place full of potential. Several of the hallways on the various floors need repairs to baseboards and fresh paint on the baseboards and walls. On the fifth floor, they have had paint swatches painted on the wall for about 2 years as if they are actually ever going to repaint (I’m not holding my breath, those swatches will probably still be there in another 2 years). The stairways never get cleaned. They did finally repaint the stairways but they painted it bright white which makes it even more obvious how dirty the stairs are since they NEVER get cleaned! The service elevator has been broken for several years and they refuse to fix it making moving larger items in or out of the building very difficult. The elevators only work part of the time. One of the two has been broken for about 3 weeks now (the other one actually wasn’t working one night too meaning tenants had to use the stairs). And this is a non-smoking building but there is constantly an odor of weed in many of the hallways. The river view units have amazing views and beautiful sunsets! And Myriad on the main floor is a huge bonus to living in the McCurdy. So you have to weigh the pros and cons if you’re considering living in the McCurdy. It’s a nice enough place to live but there are so many improvements that need to be made in order for the McCurdy to actually be what it’s advertised as, “Luxury Apartments.”"
