"Rigid, punitive, and willing to abandon patients who do not follow the rules to a "T". I needed my NON-NARCOTIC psychiatric meds filled at a pharmacy that was different from the pharmacy on my medication contract, and Kathy Whitaker's office refused to fill the prescriptions because the pharmacy was not on my contract. I even explained that I switched pharmacies because I could not afford the medication at the contracted pharmacy, and saved over $1000 a month at the newer pharmacy using GoodRx. It didn't make a difference - again - rigid, punitive, and willing to abandon patients just to enforce an arbitrary policy. Absolutely wrong. While Kathy Whitaker was supposed to be helping me, she created medication insecurity for me and led me to have even greater mental health difficulties. Kathy Whitaker also had me working with a nurse who could not prescribe medications without approval, so that caused even greater medication insecurity. I'm so happy to have found a REAL psychiatrist in Carmel, IN, who understands my needs, shows compassion, and helps me."
"Great care from entire office! Due to many government changes in health care, this office does its best to prepare you in advance to make the necessary changes whether in regards to your insurance plan and/or medications. My child stopped taking anti psychotics and has relied on the care given from this office, not only has it worked, but as team parents, psychiatrist, and staff work together my child's psyche is continuously improving and significantly.
