Unity Psychiatric Care

"this place is the epitome of hell on earth. the staff is overworked and tired , and you can very obviously tell. they treat the staff horribly , which causes staff to not care for their job , and cause issues with care of patients. they also have a severe mold issue they deny which will make your family members sick. they also break the law constantly , in nursing homes , you BY LAW have to have 3 staff members on the floor and they usually only have 1 or 2. the psychiatrist that’s supposed to work there shows up maybe once or twice PER YEAR! don’t take your family members here if you want good care!"

"Disgusting no housekeeper.. always short staffed and the ones that’s there are rude. I had a disagreement with the 7pm nurse she was RUDE and Unprofessional and had the nerve to tell the head people that I tried to go see my Grandmother after visiting hours which is untrue considering I'm the POA 2nd over her. They play 2 sided who's the social services, which means they discussed the situation about me to my Grandmother because she stated to me and they are all known to act as if they care and don't. They did have Kayla as an assistant to be very nice and very friendly and productive along with Melissa.. the rest of them can go. They ALL are all FULL of it, my Grandma clothes was left on the floor when in a bag and remind you she got there midnight Friday, when her first visit it was still there.onnthe floor she wasn't properly dressed considering we bought her brand knew clothes , so NO I WOULDN'T SUGGEST a DOG TO GO HERE"

"I would never send anyone that I loved to this facility! My mother-in-law is currently a patient there and they do not give medication on time. She is on an opioid patch every three days and she has been two days late twice. This is a psychiatric facility from what I understand that will help With getting their medication’s right. I have no knowledge of any medication change as to date. Is there actually a psychiatrist that works at this facility? Her son was supposed to have gotten a review on Friday about his mom‘s progress.. No phone call as of yet.. Highly unprofessional. I honestly believe they’re just letting her fill a bed to get the insurance money!"

Let’s not speak on the falls there that’s all they do is let patients fall, they will have your family member confined to one room like a prisoner, there’s no real activities like other psych places. This is a NURSING HOME!! A horrible nursing home. The employees are miserable and tired it’s all on their faces and some will even tell you."

"It was worse than anything I experienced! The staff yells and threatened the point that you do not feel safe. Awful place to go! Food is gross. The older the patients are, they worse they get treated. Medicine not given on time. Do not send your loved ones there! Screaming at patients and telling then to go to their rooms is harsh. The staff would laugh and make fun of the most disabled. I wasn't going to take it anymore. I requested to be move to Huntsville Hospital. Much better care and concern from them.....0 from Unity Psychiatric care. They said I hit my head on the piano but there was no bump. They transferred me to Huntsville Hospital. Huntsville Hospital was where i got better there.. Unity Hospital also didn't give out medication properly. The staff was the worst. Non caring, screaming, not treating with dignity."
