"I want to start out by saying that I had a difficult time finding a legitimate booking near Chicago and Midwest Balloon Rides had the easiest website to maneuver and find online. After finding them and realizing they're based out of Indianapolis I figured I would make the drive down there to propose to my girlfriend. Remember these flights are very temperamental to the weather the day of. Tony makes it clear through the website. Easy to book and Tony was amazing at keeping communication before the event and holding constant communication the week of while keeping a close eye on weather. They really stay true to "extra attention to details — and secrecy" as stated on their website for this engagement flight. From keeping the person being proposed to occupied to helping me hide the ring until it was needed and even giving me a backup plan in case the weather was not permitting to fly. Unbelievable planning and execution to make my day a lot easier. What more could you ask for?"

"Although it was a surprise to me, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Even though I did not know this was going to be my engagement, the team was super communicative and energetic from the second we arrived to the meet-up location. They were super informative about the whole process and how long certain things would take, such as the drive to the take off location, balloon time ride and drive back. Keep in mind that this is all weather permitting, so even though we were prepared to fly, we also knew there was a chance it would be postponed to another day. The team did a good job at seameslessly making my engagement a surprise. From giving me a back story to not arise suspicison to taking care of all the photos and videos as if it were part of every ride and helping my fiance hide the ring. They had me so focused on trying to "hit a target" with a beanbag that I never expected them to lay out a banner that read "WILL YOU MARRY ME?". I will say that if you are terrified of heights, still do this, but you might have to cling on to the basket like I did. It was a surreal experience. The ride itself was calm, relaxing, and had great views from 1000+ feet in the air. We got the opportunity to see a beautiful sunset which made it so much more magical. Our pilot Andrew was engaging and kept us up to speed on what would happen next. He kept us entertained with all of his stories, answered all our questions and provided knowledge about hot air balloons. The tradition they have for the end of the balloon ride is really special and for me it was the cherry on top to me getting engaged! I definitely plan on doing another ride for my 1 year wedding anniversary. Thank you to Tony and his team for such a wonderful experience!"
