"We love the staff and doctors!!! My husband was in for a huge back surgery and ended up staying for 2 night. We cannot say enough about the care and attention that was given to him during stay. The nurses went over and above to make him comfortable and deliver all the support he needed. From surgery to post opp to his stay, we had amazing care. Would highly recommend Franciscan Carmel to all of my friends and family. Thank you all for a very positive experience."

"I am writing this on behalf of my in-laws who wanted the public to know the experience they had. Unfortunately, my MIL had an accident . She initially went to St Francis and ultimately needed surgury due to a broke femor . This apparently created a very tricky sitution bc she also struggles with dementia . Surgery went well, but it was the after surgury and communication that was an absolute mess. Everyone had different stories as to the timeline of what was going to occur next , we had limited options as to what the actual d/c plan was going to be , and then they created an “ unsafe” d/c for her . They sent her home with no DME ( thanks to the incompetent care coordinator who is now trying to cover her tracks ) and very limited prep to make sure my MIL was going to be ok at home . The PT on site , Matt was extremely helpful and we do thank him for trying to do everything possible to prevent re- admit . Unfortunately my MIL was sent back to St Francis not even 36 hours after d/ c from this facility . They clearly had NO IDEA how to handle this complex matter and couldn’t admit it and instead, put my MIL’s safety and health AT RISK!! I’m a care coordinator myself and part of being professional is knowing what u don’t know . They rushed her out and blamed the insurance every step of the way ( including a very arrogant doctor who refused to help with anything ). I am truly disappointed and disgusted by the lack of care / concern that was missed on so many levels here. Think twice about sending your loved ones here !!"
