"Dr. Freije has been my doctor for 2 years now. He’s the best doctor I’ve ever had. Really listens to my needs and concerns or issues I have. Fills my script in a timely or rapid manor. And his nurse on staff is so sincere and kind, always remembers conversations I’ve had with him for over a year, kind and aware."
"Their office ignores prescription refill requests both from the pharmacy and from patients. I sat on hold for a total of 40 minutes today, over 3 calls, and only spoke to a person once. Despite our conversation, the prescription request has not been attended to. The pharmacy sent several requests as well. Poor customer care."
"DO NOT COME HERE. Dr. Sehgal and her staff are incredibly unprofessional and rude. I called asking for clarification on my results because I do not understand what they mean. I was hung up on. Called multiple times by the staff who walk you back and take your vitals. They passed the phone back and forth being incredibly rude. I just wanted an explanation of my results. Now they want me to come back in 4 weeks. I will not be doing that. I don’t want them to even touch me. I am incredibly upset at the lack of professionalism. This office also lacks sanitation. It’s not very clean. People keep leaving this office. Something is going on here that doctors and decent employees are leaving. My care here has declined significantly."
"Last week I had an annual checkup appointment with Dr. Sehgal. This was my second time visiting her as my PCP. Both were standard yearly checkups, and both were two of the most distressing interactions I have had with a medical professional. Over the years, many doctors have provided me with inadequate care, but none have been so rude, cold, and insensitive as Dr. Sehgal. The nurses and front staff were kind and made me feel comfortable. I struggle with anxiety when going to any medical appointment of any kind, so this helped me not be so nervous. I have a very difficult time trusting doctors/ health institutions due to past traumas where my issues were not believed, only for me to end up in the hospital. When Dr. Sehgal came in, it was short pleasantries before she started reviewing my vitals the nurse had taken. Dr. Sehgal asked medical history questions in a condescending way, as if I was being scolded if I said yes to any tobacco/alcohol/ etc. (The usual things doctors don’t want you to do) use. Overall I felt judged, and uncomfortable to reveal any further information about myself. I just wanted to get my Rx’s refilled and get out. She continued to list that my health data was all fine, and then without looking at me and without prompting of any kind asked, “What are you doing to fix your weight?”. I was aware that I had gained weight from the last time I visited the office. I do want a doctor to tell me if my weight concerns them because they are there to take care of my health; however, this is not what Dr. Sehgal did. Due to the shock of this question, I stammered for a few seconds and before I could conjure a response for her, she cut me off by saying “Okay, so you are doing nothing”. She then abruptly handed me a list of foods to eat and not to eat. She did not ask me if I had noticed weight gain, she did not tell me how much weight I needed to lose, she did not tell me what weight I needed to be at, she did not ask me what my relationship with food and/or my body was,she did not acknowledge that all of the medications that she prescribes me can cause weight gain, or any other follow up questions that I would hope a health care professional would inquire about ESPECIALLY if their patient was so shocked by the question. Having a doctor ask what you’re doing to ‘fix’ something about yourself that you were already struggling with, is incredibly demeaning and a poor way to ask about a patients health. I understand that doctors only see patients for a minuscule amount of time, so they must make use of the time quickly, but there are better and less rude ways to go about addressing someone’s weight in a medical setting. On her way out the door she turned to me and reiterated her point, “Please really do fix your weight” she said. I can assume that she meant to lose weight, but I wouldn’t know because she NEVER specified what exactly what wrong with my weight. Even if there are other people who would not be offended or hurt by this type of bedside manner, I was hurt and made to feel like I was nothing more than a number on the scale, and a number in line. I will not be returning to this practice and I will be advising my friends and family not to come here as well. I hope that no one else has to go through an experience like this with Dr. Sehgal."
