"The worst 401K company I have ever came across. The process to withdraw your money is highly flawed and difficult compared to other 401K companies. Other companies, with processing and distribution, you’ll receive your money within a week. Employee Fiduciary, you’ll be lucky if you receive your funds in a month. Not only that, they offer “over night” option to mail your check. This option is available after a 10 business day processing, but the option isn’t even truly valid. You have to send an email stating you want your check overnighted, just for them to receive the email and ship the check by regular delivery. I’ve withdrawn money and transferred money through several 401K companies (Vanguard, Fidelity, ADP, Principal) with no problem. Employee Fiduciary should not be an established 401K company."
"Their login and password/security process is the worst. If you value your time and security, you will look somewhere else for your 401K needs. For instance they require that you have a unique user name every time you reset your password. (Saving your username to your browser is not easy - I have not figured out how to do it.) The user name can't be repeated and needs a number. This all results in having to write down your user name somewhere which is not very secure, However, unless you want to reset it every time you log in, this is what you need to do. There is no option to use a MFA authentication app such as those from Microsoft or Google. I have accounts with six financial institutions and none of them are this much of a pain to use. This company thinks they have good security but they don't."
"Their customer service is horrible. I had a separation of service march 1 and it is now april 7 and still no funds. They claim my former employer has failed to do what is necessary but i know that is false since i am very close to our accounting department. DO NOT invest with this company. THEY DO NOT CARE about individual customers needs. I have had to call them 3 times over the last month and still NO PROGRESS. DO NOT do business with Employee Fiduciary, LLC. I wouldn't have posted this if i thought they were going to make progress but after 3 calls nothing."
"Great resource for 401K plans. We are a small company, 35 employees and find the service at Employee Fiduciary to be professional and prompt. The company helped us form a new plan 2 years ago with plan documents, investment options and reporting. We left an old plan with one of the big national firms and have no regrets. It is great to offer a cost effective retirement plan to team members with low administrative fees in a low/no pressure environment. Employee Fiduciary + Vanguard Funds = a winning combination for us."
"I used this company for my 401(k), we have around 25 participating employees. They preformed just fine for the W-2 employees but failed miserably with my personal account. I am the only highly compensated person at my company and this requires passing some tests to determine how much I can set aside. For the past 2 years, they took at least 3 iterations to get the test done, messed it up the same way each year, completely failed to get back to me timely and cost me over $20,000 in extra contributions as a direct result of their poor communication and inaccurate testing process. Run from them of you are an owner and want to contribute to your plan as a Sole Proprietor or pass through entity."
