Reviews
"Lovely park, this place is really nice to visit in the fall, the colors are just magnificent. There are also some cool rocks and caves to scramble on and explore!"
"This is the only natural forest in Manhattan. Some of the trees are at least 100 years old. The forest contains mature red oak and some of the largest tulip trees in the New York City. Overlook Meadow has great views of the Hudson River. Don’t miss the Clove and the Rock Formations. I posted a second map with a recommended route (purple trail) that offers good views and an immersive experience. Sections of the red trail next to the road were loud and there wasn’t much to see there anyway!"
"Beautiful scenery and environment! Great park for hiking and or having a picnic. The view of the water and the bridge is to die for."
"Hidden Gem of a park! I been living in the area for about 2 months and I never bothered to explore this park for the lack of good pictures, but im pleasantly surprised at how cool and dense this trail is. Its 100% covered by trees, it feels nice and shady with some challenging hills. I wouldn’t recommend taking dogs here because of the wild life but it’s certainly allowed. It took me about 1 hour to walk the big loop and the whole time I felt like I was outside the city breathing fresh air."
