"Interesting space that you can get thru in about 2 and a half hours. At the time we saw many different exhibits all with their own charm and themes. This particular visit there was a theme of how people are interpreted in society. I do love how the staff engage with us if we have questions on the exhibits and give their opinions on the overall vision."
"The Guggenheim is an architectural marvel designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright; the spiraling layout of the museum creates a cool continuous effect of viewing art as you navigate upwards through the building. The museum has great contemporary art pieces on each level; I was there in November 2023, when the main exhibition was “Going Dark: The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility,” which featured a variety of thought-provoking pieces. I also appreciated the exhibition in the side rooms about experimental art in South Korea during the 1960s and 70s. The café is also lovely and pleasant to sit in."
"The architecture itself is Guggenheim's best asset. Loved the Korean experimental art exhibition here and i can see that they're trying to do new things. As far as the other collections though, 4 stars overall. Good but not anything super special compared to other nyc art institutions."
"This was my first time at the Guggenheim. I really enjoyed it and I’m not typically a museum person. They had an exhibit about “Going Dark” which was different. The most interesting thing was the walk up resorts the tops. I thought the spiral of the building added more to the experience of walking around and looking at artwork."
"The spiral of the museum is gorgeous. This museum exhibits mainly modern art that changes every certain time. Besides it has a permanent exhibition (including some classic and famous painters). I went with a friend who has a yearly pass to museums in NYC, so I entered as a guest. She had to go to the counter, and even being a Saturday morning, there was no queue. The museum doesn't take long, even going a little slow (without taking the elevator). I went during Autumn, in October, and stayed almost 2 weeks in NYC, so before going to this museum, I had already visited many others. Therefore I would recommend this place, only if you enjoy architecture and you have several days in NYC. Outside, just in front, is the Central Park with multiple places to grab something."
