"I had written a five star review after my initial appt with Dr Trulock, which I have deleted now. I am a 26 yo female with around 30k extra heart beats (PACs) per day. I am healthy, my bmi is in the ideal range, I take care of myself, I avoid caffeine, and I avoid alcohol. I was added on to Dr. Trulocks schedule in a spot where someone else had cancelled this week, as I have been having “episodes” of higher heart rate, along with dizziness, fatigue, nausea, etc. It didn’t feel emergent, but was definitely uncomfortable and unsettling and not something I was comfortable sitting with until his next available appointment in May. 20 minutes before my appointment, his supervisor, Kathryn, called to let me know “he does not want to see me” and he doesn’t accept add on patients, even though I’m an established patient. She also said “he reviews his schedule every morning and if there’s something on there he doesn’t want to see, he won’t see it.” She let me know that they could get me back in, but his next available was April or May. She was cold and rude from the start. When I called to be added onto his schedule (into a cancellation spot), I let the nurse know that my blood pressure had been dropping into the 70s/50s along with the other symptoms I was having. His recommendation was to try a calcium channel blocker we had previously discussed but to “monitor for low BP.” Doesn’t seem like a safe suggestion for someone with already lower blood pressure and having dips of hypotension. But again, I was written off. I ended up having another episode, worse than before and went to the emergency room the same evening. When I arrived my heart rate was 165+ and I was having multiple PACs. The PA and 2 nurses greeted me immediately in the room and told me they were thinking about restarting my heart due to SVT, the pharmacist showed up with the med and thankfully, my heart rate lowered enough that we didn’t have to do this. I am writing this review in hopes that it will help someone else in my shoes, to avoid going to Community Heart Physicians and dealing with everything I have had to deal with. It’s extremely disappointing to know that’s someone with such an impressive education and background turned out to be such waste of time and money for me. I received a phone call not even 6 hours after being released from the hospital, from the cardiology department and they got me in TODAY after receiving an urgent referral."
