"Incredible service, and the prescriptions are always filled in a timely manner! 10/10 would recommend!"
"Every time I come to pick a prescription that has already been called in they say 30 to 45 minutes and that fine. That's any pharmacy, but when you come back there's another twenty minute wait that I have to leave and return for. It's ridiculous. I'm changing pharmacies. I'm picking up an inhaler. You can't hand me the box with the inhaler in it? Ehy does that take twenty minutes. Im suffocating"
"I’ve used quite a few pharmacies in the past including Walmart, CVS, and Nation’s and Meijer has consistently come out on top every time. There are a few reviews on here degrading and belittling the staff for things that were far beyond their control such as their HVAC system going out, or their truck coming in late and them not being able to get certain medications to customers before close. However, even when they do have issues outside of their control, Meijer’s Pharmacy staff have always gone above and beyond in making sure their customers are taken care of. I have only ever had one negative experience with an employee that no longer works there, and even then, in the end I was still taken care of. Melissa, who I believe is the head Pharmacy tech, is an angel and is always willing to help whether that be with calling in a refill for me when I’m out, or helping me add prescriptions to auto fill each month. They’re also open seven days a week, and pretty late into the day/evening, which is the most convenient schedule I’ve seen out of any of the pharmacies available in our area. I’ve also never had any issue with my medicine being kept from me or being told I HAVE to buy a specific brand name as I had dealt with when going to Walmart or CVS pharmacies in the past. Overall, Meijer’s pharmacy is a 10/10 and I will always recommend them to everyone I know."
"I went to a convenient clinic to get treated for bursitis in my shoulder. I left Gateway about 6:30 PM. I called the pharmacy about 7:20 PM and spoke with the pharmacist, I believe his name was Mike. He told me they just got my prescription orders, one is out of stock but the other one should be filled in 15 minutes. At 7:45 I pull up to the drive-thru window, Tech was extremely rude. She says they don't have anything filled for me. I said I spoke with the pharmacist about 20 minutes ago and he said the muscle relaxer would be ready. She said, "We don't have any female pharmacists here right now." I corrected her and said it was a male. She then started going on about how there were only 3 people working and they had been there since 6:30 AM, "In case you haven't heard, we've had some issues this week," etc. Nothing but excuses. Then they call me at 9 AM to tell me the prescription is ready. So did the truck come overnight, or were they just too "busy" to fill it the night before? If your people are so overworked and your pharmacy is so poorly run that the staff doesn't even know up from down, that's not a good sign."
"I don’t understand why my medicine that has already been filled prior to their supposed HVAC system failure on Saturday April 1,2023 and then their overall computer failure on April 2,2023 can’t be dispensed. They HOPE the problem will be resolved on Monday, but on Saturday they HOPED it would be fixed by Sunday. Melissa said that corporate was on their way down to Owensboro today. It’s hard to believe in this day and age with a chain pharmacy and grocery store that they wouldn’t have a backup plan for their customers. I spoke with Melissa at the Owensboro Meijer Pharmacy and all she gives out is misinformation. I have never heard of anything like this and one would think we could go back to the old days where you went in and a log was kept of what your prescriptions were and if they had been filled which mine were ready that someone could pick up the bag from behind the counter and hand it to me. That’s all I ask is for the staff to pick up my filled prescription from the hanging bag behind the counter and hand it to me. At this point I have lost all confidence in this pharmacy. What ever did we do prior to computers? I would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone simply because I think corporate and Owensboro staff have failed their customers and now are delaying patient care and treatment."
