"Nice and convenient place downtown for a more "nature" run. You have a choice between the paved bike path above and the trail below. Nice extension to the Canal Walk which is a bit limiting + you can extend it as long as you want northward -- don't go South of Washington (other side of the river) as it gets a lot less nice. Possibility to go anytime of day -- the bike trail is lit, the dirt trail is not (bring a headlamp if at night)."
