Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover

"We unexpectedly needed a place to stay in Casey and randomly came across this place and we are so glad we did! It was by far our favorite place to stay as we traveled across the country. It was perfect for our family of five. We had plenty of room, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They did a wonderful job restoring this gem! I did hear the train go by several times during the night but had no problem falling right back asleep and it would not prevent me from staying here again. I highly recommend this place and look forward to hopefully staying here again sometime."

"What a relief to find this amazing, adorable, and accommodating hotel as my daughter and I found ourselves driving cross country during the three foggiest days in US history. Thankfully, we had the good fortune to get the last room here, and the owner was extremely helpful in getting us set up after a surreal day on the road. Very comfy beds and modern amenities in a beautiful historic building. I fell in love with the hotel and the town of Casey, home to several Guinness World Record super-sized outdoor sculptures—including the Wind Chime, Rocking Chair, Knitting Needles, Crochet Hook, Pitchfork, Golf Tee, Yardstick, Wooden Token, Dutch Wooden Shoes, Mailbox, Pencil and Birdcage. The Casey Coffee Shop had an awesome healthy breakfast, we snapped some photos, and we were on our way. But now I want to come back! A truly lovely town and place."

"I have stayed at the 1890 Sleepover twice now and I have fallen in love with it, and Casey, Illinois. The rooms are super cool and unique, and the service is wonderful and accommodating. I live in Missouri and have family back east so Casey, IL. is a convenient stopover on my way home and I have incorporated the 1890 Sleepover into my regular itinerary. Last time I went with one of the Harry Potter-themed rooms, and it was amazing: cool referneces and a winding staircase! The small town of Casey is fun, with all the "largest this and largest that" scattered all over the roughly 4 square blocks that is the downtown. The diner across the street puts on a decent breakfast, and the walleye sandwich would be worth ordering again. I look forward to going back to the 1890, hopefully this holiday season. Obviously I cannot recommend this place enough!"

"What a cool place to stay at in a quaint little town! This nostalgic hotel is a must-stay-in if you are passing through Casey, Illinois. The room was awesome. Our kids loved it and didn't want to leave! Everyone in the town was so friendly, and there are so many cool things to see, places to shop, and great food to eat!"
