"Went there on Monday and Google says it’s open, but it’s actually closed. Wanted to go onto the observation deck, had to wait until next time passing by. The area under the Corning Tower is still worth a visit though. (Went on Washington’s Birthday, which seems to be holiday for the staff. Never mind.)"
"The observation deck is located on the 42nd floor. There is an elevator designated to take you up and back down. The elevator runs throughout the day. The views are spectacular and be sure to take pictures!"
"I visited the tower since the state museum was closed Monday. The observation deck gives a beautiful view over Albany. I wasn't sure if it was open due to covid. It was indeed open as of late November. There is an elevator constantly going up and down and the staff were really friendly. I was the only visitor on a Monday morning so give this place a try!"
"Open during Summer 2021. Free admission to the observation tower, it's never been busy when we've been up there. Very nice view from the top, although not westward. The capital grounds are also very beautiful, especially on a nice day."
"The tallest building in not just Albany, but New York State outside of NYC. While the observation deck is currently closed, when it is open it would be free to visit and provides amazing views of the city."
