"Check if your doctor sent orders to the hospital lab or the LabCorp lab! The hospital lab is on the ground floor of the hospital but LabCorp is on the 5th floor of the medical office building. The two labs have different hours and LabCorp actually closes 30 min before their official closing time."
"So they completely ignore you if you have a question or need something, when I was like 7 mo pregnant they ignored me and kept talking to ppl walking in when I was waiting at the desk bc I didn’t pull the number, as if they assumed I was just ignoring the queue, in reality I had a question about the drink they had to supply for my blood work, given that people have restrictions and what not it seems pretty rude to assume that your just ignoring the ticket, I had no issue with the first come first serve, it was the imma ignore this girl who thinks she isn’t gonna follow the rules feeling I got. Mind you I had to wait a while after drinking it to get the blood drawn and I was simply asking if I should drink it and then take a number when it was closer to the time since they do it in the order of number and was trying to just be polite to the others waiting. I do think they are good at the blood work but the system annoys me to no end. I have to have my order from my dr, usually no issue but I had a teleahealth visit and I didn’t get one I don’t have the rime to take mon-fri off for an order it’s not worth the money lost. I went on Saturday many times early for lab work but I can’t pick up the order from my office."
"I had to get bloodwork and loved that it was in the same building as my doctor. 510 S Maple Ave, Oak Park IL. If you want to be closest to the lab, park in the back lot of building. Then when you enter it will clearly show you that 510 is to the right. You have to register first (if you forget your paperwork, don't worry..they don't need it as long as your doctor is connected and submitted the orders). Once you are done registering, you have to head down the stairs and go to the lab. There you will take a number and once called, they ask you for your name and have you sit back down. They call a few people at a time so they can print the labels out then call people back as the techs become available. Just remember...register before going to lab so you don't have to go all the way back and loose your spot. Everyone was very nice."
"This is one of my favorite labs in the area. Unfortunately with my medical issues I have to frequent labs, but each time I have an order here, I have a positive experience with the technicians. The worst part is parking, so if you can't get there super early in morning, I would highly suggest using the valet. Even the registration process flows smoothly. You can smell the cleaning products in the hallway and they take precautions so it helps me feel confident getting my health issues taken care of during such an unsure time. I appreciate all the essential workers and the care they show us patients."
