"I could feel the springs from the mattress. It felt more like sleeping on a box spring. It's a cheap rate and you definitely get what you pay for. The ceiling smoke detector was not present and the wires were hanging out. They were capped. On the backside of the door it was filthy. Needless to say I didn't last overnight there. They didn't even bother to put the toilet paper on the holder and it was used halfway through. Never again! I have been waiting for a refund for my second night stay to no avail. Lesson well learned."

"The room and staff are excellent to be fair, a little bit of TLC is in order, but within expectation for the price. My first weekend, the room was a little smoky smelling, but not bad, the second didn't have a smell."

"On my way to Chicago I stopped to get a room for the night. I found this lil hotel before on a previous trip though. I remembered how the last time I stayed there it was a easy in and out situation. Being able to park right in front of your room is really nice. Interstate motel is also a lot more affordable than the other hotels in the same area. When I arrived at Interstate motel (for my second stay) we was again pleased with our purchase and the room was perfectly suitable for a good night sleep. Room comes with microwave, cable and internet too. I will definitely come back on my trips to and from Chicago. Thanks to the owners and workers of your establishment."

"Called asking for monthly price rate, woman tells me over the phone 550$ for cheapest room (and I’m like wow! That’s a deal), so I stop in a few hours later in person, ask for everything I’ll need to rent a room for a month for a friend. She says it’s 600$ and will only need ID, no need to do anything else. So I say “first person told me 550 but that’s fine, I’ll be back when he gets in town tomorrow!” So I show up next day and she says she has to call her husband because the rooms they have available are not clean yet. That’s fine, then she passes the phone to me and her husband (the owner I presume) says “it’s 1200$ for a month stay” At which point we turned around and left. Their sign outside says 224 a week ffs. And supposed to pay more than weekly rate for the month? Moronic, 224x4 is 896. So wanted to charge an additional 300$ for an extended stay? Flawless logic! They’re Disorganized as ever, no one has any idea what they’re doing obviously Went down the street to economy inn, their terms and prices all straight forward. Checked in immediately without issue. Don’t waste your time at this place. They want to charge more than the economy inn down the street while providing less overall, and apparently don’t even know what their signs prices state. Literally can’t recommend you don’t waste your time with them enough"

"Smoke, Smoke, Smoke. Just don't stay here. Not much else to say the place smells like 20 damp cigarettes. It's a cacophony of smells that makes you sick. I have stayed at places that have a smokey smell, but this is far worse. Your smell adjusts and you can't smell it after a couple minutes, not here. Here every time you move in the room you get assaulted by new different damp cigarettes. I have a CPAP machine and days later it still smells like this dump. The mattress was also well over 10 years old (probably original). That's just minor compared to the smoke. The room seemed to be maintained, the TV had damaged screen picture. But again the owners have never invested into smoke sealing paint."
