"Beautiful Historic Bank..held an unbelievable exhibit of Chagall ( famous artist) via a complete light show that was on every floor and wall.( Hall de Lumieres) as well as the artist Kandinsky..(abstract artist) playing David Bowie's Space Oddity as background music. It was a wonderful incredible event. The building itself was built in 1909 for the Emigrant Bank...the Teller stations were still there!!!"
"To start what a great place! The building is as Historical as NYC. Also what a cool exhibit is there now. Destination Cosmos if you in space or not. It's a unique experience that surrounds you. Check it out!"
"I entered this building to view the Gustav Klimt exhibition. Great visual exhibit if you are into visuals. I liked how some of the animation was projected on the pillars separately as part of the show. It provides some depth to the exhibit. It's a simular set up to the Van Gogh exhibits that were around earlier this year. The exhibit was displyed on the main floor with a additional adjacent room, top floor which was an overview of the main floor and in the basement. There is reading area on the exhibit and on the creatation on the municipal building itself. There's also a gift shop. Great experience and it will be around until the end of the year."
"This is the new site for “Halles Des Lumiéres” in NYC. It’s currently a Gustav Klimt inspired showing as well as a couple of other 15-20 minute installations. Make sure you don’t stay the whole time in one place & dog downstairs to the basement to view it down there as well as the balconies. If you’ve never been to a light installation like this do yourself a favor & come here. You won’t be disappointed ."
"This is now a wonderful place for immersive exhibition called « Hall des Lumières ». You can see a beautiful show on the painter Gustav Klimt and many other things. New in NYC and worth a visit !"
