Reviews
"Preservation Long Island and their Executive Director, Alex Wolfe are in the business of destroying Long Island, not preserving it. Despite the requests of local residents & community representatives to keep the animals at Sherwood Jayne Farm they are moving them from the property and the caretaker they have known for years. These animals are part of our community's history. Her decisions regarding the lives of the animals shows she has no heart and that her judgment is to be questioned. Alex Wolfe has been rude, sneaky, manipulative and dishonest when dealing with the community."
"The director is a horrible woman and has no regard for a sense of community. Has no respect for nature at all. I heard she steals money from people who make donations for her own agenda. Alex Wolfe is a horrible person to say the least!"
"Shameful display on November 8h by PLI’s Executive director, Ms. Wolfe at Sherwood -Jayne Farm Apparently, it’s okay to go back on your word and remove animals from a loving home…with a 15 minute notification. Is this how PLI runs itself? I would be cautious about donating money to this organization until this person is no longer serving in director status."
"This is such a hidden gem of an organization, the best kept secret, but I hope not for long! Excellent programs. These people know and love history. They're serious educators with pizzazz."
"The exhibitions were not open because it was out of season. However, the Assistant Director for Operations and Programs did provide pamphlets and upcoming events around the area. She was very hospitiable."
