Madison Valley Pediatrics: Crespo-Gales Jacqueline MD

"I’m definitely not one to complain, but I would like to shed light on my experience for those who may be considering this office. My situation is a bit unique, or maybe not as unique as I may think but I haven’t personally encountered any one in my specific situation. I have 2 children who are in the process of being diagnosed with what I, and doctors they have been to, believe to be autism. The diagnosis is a process, so it has to be diagnosed by a specialist. So my children had been going to Dr. Crespo and the other doctor, whose name I can’t remember, for years. From the time we started going to the office I shared my concerns that they may have autism because they were both nonverbal and had several other behaviors that indicated autism. They gave me a couple dead end recommendations to places far from where I lived that recommend me to other places, and we basically went in circles for years. I never received any real information or resources from this office and I honestly believe they didn’t care. At the time I just thought it was a battle for all parents of children with autism to get them diagnosed and find resources until… One day we came in for an appointment and she sent her new nurse in to tell me that they couldn’t see us anymore because my kids don’t have immunizations (which I completely understand). They gave us a 30 day notice, we left, and that was that. No hard feelings. I immediately started calling doctors and got them in with the amazing Dr. Smith. The very first appointment he also let us know he doesn’t see children who don’t have immunizations, recommended us to a doctor that does, got my children scheduled to be evaluated for autism, and got them in therapy. AND everything was local. With that being said, I just don’t think the doctors at Madison Valley Pediatrics cared enough to get my children what they needed and we lost a lot of valuable time running in circles when there was a straight shot to what we needed. The best thing that ever happened to us when it comes to this office is the day they told us they couldn’t see us anymore. Thank God for redirection!"

"My sister called to get an appointment for my niece because she was sick. She was told they ‘don’t have same day sick appointments’ and denied an appointment. Now my 4-year old niece is dead. Isn’t the purpose to a doctor’s office to attend to people when they are sick?? Thanks a lot Madison Valley Peds. So much for “do no harm”."

"Been taking my kids here since 2008! Love this dr office, everyone is great from the staff to the Doctors and assistants!! Dr Crespo and Dr Jennifer are both really great and know their jobs! You want a good pediatrician this is the place for you. Very Convenient location in Madison, Al!!"

"My children are new patients to Madison Valley Pediateics. Dr. Crespo-Gales was very kind and listened to my concerns. Her nurse was also very attentive. The front office staff was made up of 3 friendly faces. I really appreciate the front office because they set the vibe for the visit. I loved our old pediatrician but the office staff at her new office turned me off and I decided to change doctors. I would recommend this office but this is also based on one visit. If anything changes i will update!!!"
