Reviews
"Nice art museum that is small but has plenty of unique pieces to view. The worker Al has been there since 1994 and well informed and nice to have a chat with while looking around."
"Half of the museum is currently being reorganized, so as of January 2024, it's "pay what you wish." It's still worth a visit, if only to admire the I.M. Pei architecture. Enjoy the paintings they pulled out of storage (Warhol, Wood, Rauschenberg, Guston, Bierstadt...) and the "pick and mix" exhibits of examples from their ceramics collection."
"Small art museum jam packed with interesting pieces. The main atrium is a really cool space, and has an accompanying gift shop. I went on a Saturday, and it was not very busy! Perfect to peruse. If you like art and are in Syracuse, you have to check it out for a couple hours."
"A great little craft and modern art museum in downtown Syracuse. We happened to visit during a temporary exhibit focused on Frank Buffalo Hyde. Interesting architecture by I.M. Pei."
"We had such a lovely visit! Every time we visit my family we stop by to take in the fantastic architecture and wonderful art. If not for the oddly trailing second floor security guy - don't remember being trailed conspicuously and creepily last time we visited - everything was great. Even my toddler really got caught up in the ethereal, surreal qualities of the architecture and space."
