Sleep Inn Newberry - Crane 7834 Progress Way, Newberry, IN 47449

"We had a two night stay and was very pleased. It was very clean and comfortable. They had a sports group of little fellas staying and the lobby/hang out area was a little crazy with all of them, but the check-in person gave us a room on their top floor to make sure we would not be bothered and we weren’t. Thank you!! They cleaned our room for the second night stay and the bed was “turned-down”. Nice touch Sleep Inn-Crane!"

"To paraphrase the staff, this hotel is located in God’s country unfortunately God forgot where this country is. Located within a short drive from the Crane naval base and not much else, it features some of the most helpful staff I’ve ever encountered and a stellar breakfast. The rooms are nice and cozy and the indoor pool and gym are a nice touch. It does feature a small store of assorted goodies and a laundry facility on station which is a nice touch. There is a picnic area adjacent to the hotel and a patio area to take in the nature around you. Biggest gripes with this hotel are all out of their hands and are tied to the way the area is as a whole. Not close to much by foot and most places by car of note are around 30 plus minutes away. All in all if you’re in the area and need a place to lay your head and some quality people to take care of you while you do I can’t think of a batter place."

"Can you say $190 for a $60 hotel room, sleep inn can! Located in podunk Newberry Indiana right off 69, come here and pretend you're in San Francisco to make that bill blow Sting a little less, I imagine there will be car sleepers in this lot. Don't worry, you'll get why as soon as you stop by and think about checking in"

"I would avoid this hotel at all cost! It was graduation and there was also a car show in town so they were running the rooms up at $250/night. We could have stayed at my Aunts house in Linton for free and we even canceled a $117 room further from Bloomington and booked this one because the website said they had a heated pool. The pool water was 62 °F and unfortunately I found this out after my youngest jumped in. It was too cold to safely swim. Michael the manager said the pool is kept at 83 °F and denied knowledge of the reality of the situation. He offered only $50 off (best he could do). Room was OK, but falling apart quickly despite being a relatively new hotel. They do not seem to do any maintenance and the luggage carts pneumatic wheels had about 5 psi pressure and were very difficult to push. I would avoid this hotel at all cost!"

"Mrs. Stephanie was awesome & so dang sweet she made me feel so welcomed, amazing hospitality! 1st empressions are huge to me. My room was very clean and spacious, breakfast was standard I had a waffle with some eggs, there were more side dishes as well. As far as location you will have to travel about 20miles to the nearest Walmart, restaurants 1-20miles. Love how peaceful it is here. Hubby & I are drivers and appreciate the peace and time away from work. Would definitely stop by again!"
