"Great place to get out and enjoy even when it's chilly out"
"Pretty cool cave, but not much to see when you get in, so it might not be worth the walk - up/down to it. Wear hiking shoes that you don't DON'T mind getting muddy - because they will! Try and go on a non busy time - God forbid people try to be quiet while experiencing nature..."
"Cool cave. There is a little bit of a hike down a lot steep stairs from the parking lot. The first part has a ramp but once you enter the actual cave it ends and there is no path. Wear hiking boots or tennis shoes because the ground is muddy and rocky. Also bring a flashlight or headlamp, there are no lights in the cave. It is lots of fun to explore on your own."
"The park is beautiful! Hills and valleys... I was a little confused as to why whole logs were thrown into the chain of ravines near the playground behind site 64 in the campground. We went to the Pioneer Village, the only thing that could've been better was the weather. It was so hot and muggy!! We enjoyed the buildings and were reminded of how difficult life was back in the day. We also went to Donaldson cave but were disappointed that a series of ramps and fencing have replaced the natural pathway, making it difficult to access the water as you hike along. It really took away from the natural beauty of that area. The ramp went right up to the upper level, where there just used to be wooden steps. I do want to go back and take our grands. We'll help them get to the water. All activities are free once you pay the $7 entry fee."
"It was a beautiful cave we really enjoyed. We saw many frogs and life in the waters that use the rock cover for home n baby making. I wish they had a path to walk in it so we wouldn't disturb or hurt the cave life. The walk is tough to get down loose stairs just be careful, the hike is worth the view!"
