"Outstanding movers! Very reasonable price, on time, very friendly, and great packing! The guys helped pack our moving truck, and did a great job handling delicate items. They even took it upon themselves to ensure the fragile items were wrapped and thoughtfully placed for safe moving. Absolutely nothing was damaged during the drive of several hundred miles, nothing even shifted in the truck. The crew was very friendly and on-point. The only time they weren't busy was when they ran out of stuff to pack... 10/10 I would hire these guys again. They made moving easy, despite being a very stressful situation. The owner is a wonderful person, great to do business with, he ran the whole process like a well oiled machine. I cannot stress enough how far above and beyond he went through the entire process. "We hired this moving company through uHaul in September. We asked for 4 men for 2 hours. They called a week before to tell us they’d be there around 0830-0900. Day off, they let us know they were running behind and it’d be closer to 1000-1100 before they arrived. When they did show up, they brought a 3 year old child. I understand finding child care can be difficult and things happen but bringing a toddler to a move site is incredibly inappropriate and dangerous. They baby had his hand in a bag of chips when he plopped down on our $3k nubuck recliner and smudged grease on it. My husband and I didn’t feel like we could object to the child because we needed the movers and we were already hours behind on the move. So we put a movie on for the kid and babysat while the guys worked. We hired them for 2 hours. We’ve moved twice in the last three years and are familiar with the pace at which it should happen. We provided 2 dollies and one furniture Dolly to assist. The lead guy Joshua actually insisted that his guys not use the dollies because it “slows them down” and instead each box was removed one at a time. We watched as the truck was loaded so painfully slow and felt again that we could not protest because we needed them to get the job done. At about the 2.5 hour mark the toddler was screaming and bored and begging for food. I provided him with some water and two cheese sticks but most all our food was out of the house already. I felt bad for him. At around 3.5 hours in, Joshua told us that he thought it’d take about another hour and since we’d only paid for two hours, he needed us to cancel our uHaul reservation and Venmo him personally to avoid the advertising fees uHaul charges. I told him I’d Venmo him the difference once the job was done but he insisted that uhaul needed to be cancelled and the entire amount sent to him. So again, we relented, feeling like we had to appease this team that had total control over whether the job got done or not. It was so aggravating watching them sit outside and break, chit chat. One guy even made a run to the store for drinks even though we provided all the water they could want. Meanwhile leaving the child inside the house with us the whole time. Fast forward to unloading the truck the next day. The movers unloading (different company) had to deal with everything in the truck collapsing twice. One piece of furniture moved would bring an avalanche of boxes and furniture tumbling down. Thankfully the damage was minimal considering how bad the collapse was. Two legs of a sturdy wood desk were broken. And multiple boxes of broken dishware — but it could have been so much worse. Nothing irreplaceable was broken. The other movers were appalled at the state of the truck. For the record it was driven interstate the entire move. No bumps or crazy driving to attribute the destruction to. The unload took 1.5 hours. Now I know unloading is shorter than loading but almost 5 hours vs 1.5 hours is atrocious. When I told the unload movers about how long it took J’s Movers to load it, they just shook their heads and said what we already knew - we were taken advantage of."
