Super 8 by Wyndham Vincennes 609 Shirlee Street, Vincennes, IN 47591

"Warning: BLACK MOLD & ROACHES. NO FIRE ALARMS. UNHYGIENIC STAFF. I work on the road and paid $75 a night for a hotel that I can’t even shower in or feel comfortable enough to unpack my suitcase. I stayed 3 nights, one room for two nights and a different room the third night (third night in room 110 on 01/11/24…). Both rooms do not have smoke alarms (illegal per federal law) and smelt like smoke. On the third night I didn’t enter my room until much later that night, so when I finally got off work and entered room 110, I’m desperate to sleep, but need to shower first. So, I go to the bathroom and turn on the shower and a horrendous stench hits me. I realize the shower head is riddled with black mold and hazardous to my health. See the picture I posted… At this point I have no clothes on and it’s past midnight and I’m so exhausted that I bathe myself with personal water bottles. Not even comfortable using the sink water because it smelt weird as well. Then I prepare to lay down, see a massive live cockroach crawl across the wall and vanish into a crack in the bathroom. I don’t know where it went but I immediately pack my stuff back into the suitcase because now I’m completely questioning the decreased sanitary state this room is in. Disgusting. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere. On a side note, the first red flag I should have taken into account was the front desk attendants poor hygiene. He was wearing a red shirt with a stain on the right shoulder for three days in a row. Talk to that man about his hygiene please… staff have low expectations of themselves which is probably why the rooms are in poor condition."

"Super 8 Vincennes Indiana was the most dreadful experience my husband & I have ever gone through in the hotel industry that is - room was ok but when we noticed a/c was not working AT ALL notified front desk clerk Amanda (I remember this name because when you call the front counter this is the person you talk to that does not be too forthcoming to guests) concerning the issue only to in turn reply in a minute while shushing us this young lady was too busy propositioning another hotel guest AT THE FRONT COUNTER assuring this gentleman she will be in his room after she takes the breakfast bar down to see about his rusty pipes while holding this gentleman’s hand we waited in that lobby till time stood still she was only interested in the construction workers not our issue. Upon returning from heat exhaustion in our rooms she was coming from another room 3 doors down from ours following yet another gentleman showing affection upon leaving we asked again about our room only to be ignored while I had no idea this type of disrespect in a business establishment still exhisted. Needles to say our next trip from Oregon WILL NOT BE AT THE SUPER 8!"

"Avoid this place. A lot of sketchy characters running around. Stayed for 2 weeks, came and took the trash out and changed towels after a week and a half. Other guest where loud. Kids running up and down the hall late at night. First week I felt like I was trying to sleep at a club with loud music most the night. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. The side entrances are open all hours. Not very secure. At least I didn't see any bed bugs. Close to restaurants and stores. Convenient to the main highway. Cheap, you get what you pay for. Some of the staff where nice."

"My boyfriend is staying here for work and they were having issues with getting the room cleaned for a little while, but now it is getting done. I think it was all due to not having enough help just like everywhere else. The employees are all very nice and are very helpful. Rooms are really pretty nice and spacious. The location is in a great area. Right by walmart!"
