Reviews
"This doctor lacks compassion, she treats you like it’s an honor to be in her presence… The clinic is a whole good vibe until she comes back and it’s like a funeral reception… She told me to tell her what would work for my pain like IM the doctor who went to school and learned all of these medicines and medical terms… I don’t appreciate the times where she’s called me out of my bed to an “acute visit” just to let me talk, she walks out the room and hours of my life waiting to see her, especially while in pain, is wasted time and I’m sent home to still suffer. If I knew I could have better benefits somewhere else, I’d run there. I never seen a doctor who barely sees her patients and then when she does she treats them like feces. I tried liking her just because of how many of her patients can’t stand her but , this doctor and her attitude forced me to dislike her as well. I will probably be penalized for this review but I don’t care , I won’t be at UAB’s Sickle Cell clinic for long. I suffer enough with this pain she often ignores so it’s nothing that they can do but put notes in the computer only they can see to tell other physicians that I’m crazy or something of that sort. Who cares? Life’s too short to be treated like this, I wish she would leave and let someone more involved with the patients take over. I also have a video of her calling me stupid for eating jacks one morning."
"This clinic publicly humiliated me and had me arrested all while having a sickle cell pain crisis. I do not trust this doctor anymore to provide a standard of care that is condusive with my life as an African American woman with a debilitating disease. The fact that I was made out to be an angry black woman was not cool in any manner. I am so disappointed in the clinic that I trusted for two to render care for me. This was so unjustified and it left me without a PCP or a hematologist."
