"John and Chad came out to reposition the downdraft duct and gas line under my kitchen island, to accommodate a new gas cooktop and telescoping downdraft vent I'd purchased. They did a great job moving the utilities without mangling my cabinet floors, and they even installed my new kitchen equipment for me. The last owner of the house installed an electric cooktop for some reason, but now I'm cooking with gas again thanks to John & Chad!"

"We scheduled a maintenance appointment on May 22, 2023 for September 15, 2023 via email, and I have a written email record. They didn't show-up or call, and when I called they said they had "lost" their appointments. What business doesn't have robust backup and data protection protocols in place? I am very unhappy because this means I will have lost 2 days of work, plus a lot of stress and aggravation. On Monday 18 September 2023, Josh from HFI called me at 1:31 pm to say he would arrive in 20 to 30 minutes. He arrived at 1:45 pm. Josh was very good about explaining not only what he was doing, but why, and how it makes a difference in the maintenance of our Mitsubishi mini-split air conditioner and our Navien hot water on demand/baseboard heating. It took 1 hour to service the A/C and 3 hours to service the hot water system. If this had happened on Friday, I would have been happy to give a 5 star review. But 15 to 20 minutes after I posted my original review, I got a call from HFI asking me to change my review stars to something more positive. I feel that this request is deeply unethical and should be reviewed by upper management to ensure this doesn't happen again. It did take almost a week to get our Hot Water/Baseboard Radiant Heat Navien unit installed, which should have only taken a day, and we had to rely on the heat function of our AirCon (and cold showers) to get us through the installation process during a cold snap. It took about a week and 4 separate crews to finally install our Navien system. Overall, I would say that there are other options out there. Eco friendly Mechanical was our preferred vendor for our old system and they were knowledgeable, responsive, and dependable. They weren't able to handle both of our changes during the pandemic, so they couldn't overpromise. As of 18 Sep 2023, I give HFI 3 out of 5. I had major problems with the initial installation of the hot water system and the missed appointment because HFI did not have backup protocols in their appointment system."
