"Very well designed interactive program that kept even the younger participants engaged. Informative for the young and young at heart"
"Extremely educational, interactive and fun. We went as a family of 6. We had a 1, 3, 5 and 16 year old. There appeared to be 4 rooms and you’re able to do 3 rooms per tour. I loved how my children were able to learn about Black inventors and get to see, touch, smell to learn and remember these inventors and their contribution to the world we live in. My 5 year old loved the STEAM and song that was taught. In the STEAM room they even accommodated my 16 year old by allowing him to code. Our tour guide was very patient, straight forward, engaging and warm at the same time. We had a great time and would definitely come again. You’re able to get a membership and they have events year round. Highly recommend. Takes about 2 hours to fully make it through."
"Took my nieces in son during a visit to Chicago. I enjoyed it as well as the kids. The admission is only $5 (cash only) and the parking is plentiful and free. I loved the various exhibits because they are educational and interactive which is great for kids. As an adult, it’s great to hear so much Black History that’s overlooked in the education system. I wished we had more time to hear about other Black inventors or a way to apply the learning in real time. The kids especially loved the playtime exhibit and the fitness room. When it was time to leave the begged to stay longer. I promised I’d bring that back in the future."
"Attended the Kwanza celebration. We had a very nice time. The children enjoyed learning about this African American tradition."
