"I wouldn’t recommend you waste your money at this facility. I paid nearly $2000 and never once did I get an update on my son’s progress. They never let us know we were reaching the end of his lessons. They never cared to even call or send a letter home with him. They didn’t even bother to show me his “progress”, which we saw none."

"This is a great addition to our Hoover community of school goers. Intelligent & dedicated staff helps kids with homework on personal basis. Very centrally located, optimal batches for great learning experience!"

"They are kind of pricey but they do have payment plans and other options for payment including a loan I believe. I didn't get far with the center because of the price and I wanted 1on1 tutoring (which they offer but its not flexible) but its mostly group tutoring. I seen one tutor with about 5 or 6 kids. They did have a sign posted for a discount if you leave a review so I'm not sure how honest some of the reviews are. My daughter (6) went in for the diagnostic test that you have to pay for upfront before the test is scheduled. After she finished the test, they discussed options for payment. Since it was too pricey for me, I went home and I searched fb for independent local tutors and now I pay a retired teacher $25 an hr to tutor my daughter and it's working out great! If you're on a budget, I recommend the same but if not then I don't see a problem with this learning center."

"I do appreciate the effort of the staff who were so kind and diligent. * The experience at Sylvan learning was not entirely what we expected unfortunately. Every child learns differently. Having a few familiar faces work well for some but the same is true for having one familiar teacher. Having one person to follow-up prevents ignorance when imparting knowledge to the child as you can pick up where you left off. You can also see definite improvements from the first day child started."

"My Daughter started at sylvan maybe a little over 1 month ago. Her teachers have already given me feed back about how her confidence has boosted in reading comprehension and math. Sylvan has played a huge part in that. Great place to send your kids. I highly recommend!"
