"I really wish I would have paid attention to all the other negative reviews and warnings. I was a new patient going for my first session and somehow I had the dates switched around in my head. I show up today and it’s $155 to reschedule “no show” appointments. There is zero understanding, empathy, one time pass. Nada. I could understand $25 - $50 MAX. But $155 in this economy, for nothing? When people are truly struggling? Absolutely not. That’s cruel. Take one look around the office I can promise you they aren’t hurting for money. It just goes to show they obviously care more about the financial aspect of the business than helping their patients. I’m honestly glad this happened now vs me connecting with a counselor and this happening down the line. Because let’s be honest, who hasn’t ever had an emergency in their life? It’s bound to happen eventually. Please find a place who cares more about your well being than your debit card. Lesson learned."
"My experience coming to this facility has been by far the most comfortable, safe, and welcoming encounter that I could have ever imagined. Alesha Thomas has helped me with a space to truly get my thoughts and feelings out. Her patience and professionalism has been phenomenal and appreciated."
"Office staff are okay at best, schedule through your provider when you can - if you can't it's really difficult and you're not prioritized at all. Initially I was trying to get an appointment so that after it I could get a refill on my medication because it's been enough time that I needed to check in. I told a woman my availability and she scheduled me outside of the times I gave, a week and a half after I'll be out of medication. I took it anyway because it's what I thought they had but asked about a refill and was told they'd talk to my provider about it. I called back after not hearing from them for a couple days and was told again that I have to have an appointment before a refill. I totally understand that, but wanted to know what I'm supposed to do in the meantimte. They had to hear that I'm going to be out of a black label/black box medicine before they'd look for an earlier appointment for me. I told them my availability again and was actually given an appointment during my availability this time, less than a week away. Why couldn't I have and that the first time I called? Then I wouldn't have to look like a Karen calling to check in so much. My care was terminated with no explanation given soon after. I was not rude to them, but I did have to call a couple times to check on a refill because I was told I'd be called back and wasn't. I had a telehealth appointment that was cancelled without telling me so I called when my provider never showed up. I was told it was rescheduled for me with no actual appointment set up for after this one. I've only ever missed one appointment in the years of care with them, because of a full time job conflict. I fully intended to show up for the latest one, but wasn't given the chance to. The only reasons I can think of that I was terminated for are the missed appointment or they thought I was rude when I was trying to get taken care of. I only kept calling because I was always told call us if there's an emergency if you need us or need anything. The only other reason I can think of is that I politely messaged my provider on the on patient portal about what was going on just to let her know what happened, after asking my mom if I should, because I knew if I had to explain all the calls and difficulties with the office staff during my appointment I'd end up crying and not actually have the conversations about medicine that needed to happen. In that note I sent I did mention I wasn't sure if I wanted to be on this medication anymore or wanted to know if I have unreasonable expectations for it. Maybe I was terminated because they thought they can't satisfy my needs? I've messaged my provider before through that portal just as polite as this last one and it's been fine and got things taken care of like issues with the pharmacy. Overall the provider interactions have been reasonable and fine. The office staff have not. I was referred in 2019 to Amanda Williams who I've never actually spoken to, so I don't think my general practitioner knew how bad the office is and that I'd be given to someone else. I looked at all the other Google comments about them being out for money, the office not calling, being difficult etc. I can totally agree with that attitude. The actual therapists and nurse practitioners are not as dismissive as they are. I don't think it's the doctors fault that the office staff aren't nice, but I would like to know who decides to terminate care and why."
"My daughter was a patient here. It is very difficult to get through on the phone. She had to cancel an appointment. I tried all morning to cancel with no answer. My work phone calls from different numbers. When i finally got through. I couldn't give her the correct number that I called from earlier in the day. I explained how my phone systems work. She said that I must not have called. I was charged the cancelation fee. She was very rude in the process. I do not recommend this place. There are other with better business practices."
"I am shocked by the negative reviews! My experience with the office staff, in both appointment scheduling and insurance issues, has been excellent. Prompt, caring, and continued communication until issues were solved. And my therapist is amazing! Great knowledge and insights. Every single session helps with progress toward emotional healing."
