"The comments belew is true unfortunately. The front office staff is ghetto, rude, lazy!!! She not only tried to lied after being confronted that i didn't recieved the attachment via email but she could had called me and i could had provided a fax number. After sitting outside since 725 am. At 725 am when she arrived she refused to see me until 730 am. She tried yelling at me. Which i told her, i wasn't her children to be spoken to like that. What's worst, i was asked to leave, she tried to hit me, when she saw i wasn't having it, she told me she was calling the police. I asked for her contact the doctor now!! When 2 personal come in. I told them how ghetto that front desk was and not a surprise was asked to leave. Will they child keep there staff, im not willing to pay for that kind of service but to Talked to like that and she still employed... Tall better run. Guess the doctor dont care that his staff chase out customers. I will be filing a report with the state."

"We only used one for telephone appointments but She was never on time for appointments. And I am not talking about 5-10 minutes. I mean 20-40 minutes. This is not an ideal practice with mental health especially for people with anxiety. My past experience with counselors and psychiatrist has they are very punctual with time. So this was a disappointment."

"My name is Kay Brooks. Up until today, I was a patient of Dr. Abolade's. In order to write this review, I have to submit a 1 to 5 star rating. If possible, I would give Dr. Abolade a "-0" rating! During my appointment today, he seemed totally disinterested in my well being. He was rude, condescending and acted in a very unprofessional manner! Dr. Abolade has an anger problem that certainly needs addressing! I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM!!!"

"My husband was diagnosed with ADHD about 10 years ago and looking to get back on a treatment plan. Dr. Abolade prescribed him Vyvanse (at my husband's request) for 30 days BUT did not believe the diagnoses enough to continue prescribing further and asked that he be tested in Tuscaloosa (3 hrs away) all in the first visit. When we called him asking for a testing site in town he became offended and dropped my husband as a patient altogether. My husband was fine being tested but I felt it was a bit much requiring us to go somewhere half way across the state when, surely, there are places here in town (the capital). As well, he wasn't confident in my husband's diagnosis and required testing YET was ok prescribing a drug my husband had never taken--again all in the first visit. I find all this concerning coupled with the fact that as a psychiatrist and doctor he dropped my husband as a patient rather than inquiring on his wellbeing, understanding our request of another testing site, or politely explaining why things had to be done this way."

"During my first facetime teladoc visit today, usually see him in person, all I got was scolded and yelled at. I was so stunned by his behavior. He had never spoken to me, rather raised his voice close to a yell, like this. The list of things I set that appointment up for were written in order of priority since it had been 5 months since my last in person visit. But, since the first order of business was paperwork requested to be filled out for my employer like he had filled out multiple times before, he said he was feeling used and disrespected and it took too much time and even some of his weekends to complete it. I was shocked. I was not allowed to say anything or address the other issues or share with him about what had been going on and where I had been in the past 5 months. See, in March when I was supposed to go for a follow up the schools let out due to the COVID pandemic. Governors, mayors, and city officials were saying "stay home, stay safe." I did teach my classes online during that time, day and night, trying to accommodate my parent's schedules. I also had visits with cardiologists and neurologists which led to a heart procedure and then recovery and rest. But, I was unable to share any of my "issues" with him because he was too busy being offended that he was being asked to fill out paperwork. I didn't deserve nor expect the treatment I received as he had never spoken to me this way previously at any point. He was very unprofessional, would not even allow me to speak or explain what had been going on as I had been in the hospital and showed aspects of controlling or monopolizing the conversation. I strongly would NOT recommend this psychiatrist. Would have rated a ZERO if it had given that option."
