"I stayed at the Hampton Inn on Sunday night, Feb. 18. I chose the Hampton based on brand reputation. As I drove into Brownsburg after a long day of driving through the mountains, I just needed a place to sleep, but I decided to treat myself to the Hilton experience because I faced another long day of travel on Monday. I paid a $50 pet fee. Yet I discovered for that $50 my dog and I benefited nothing: - Sidewalks were not shoveled, instead a corrosive ice-melt product was thrown down. I had to wash my dogs feet when we got to the room. - No designated pet area outside, we had to cross a treacherously icy driveway to find an area for her to potty That fee is ridiculous in general. If a human leaves a mess or damaged anything, they are charged for that. A poorly trained pet should be treated likewise. A well-behaved pet could be charged a minimal fee, but most pets do not create $50 worth of extra expense for the hotel. Then my experience: - The fan in my room kicked on with a loud clunk and whirring sound every hour, meaning my sleep was intermittent. I tried to turn it off, but there was no way to turn it off. - I could not get on the supposedly free WiFi - There was no hairdryer in the room - The shower floor was grungy - One of the elevators was set for construction and a sign told us to use the other elevator, but they had failed to lock the construction elevator. Invariably, the elevator that came was the dirty one. Ugh. - The sidewalks and driveway had not been cleared, so it was very difficult to unload and then reload my car. I paid for a Hilton experience, a total of over $250, for nothing. I could have stayed at the Quality Inn next door for $89."
"Weary traveler looking to pay a premium for a nicer more relaxing overnight stay. Had good experiences with Hampton Inn stays in past, this wasn’t one of them. Poor water pressure, early AM construction work on Sunday, tiny uncomfortable pillows for king bed. Final straw for posting a review was the cheap scratchy toilet paper. I’d advise seeking another hotel while renovations are going on, or trying to negotiate a discount. Redeeming qualities: service was nice and professional. Good location off interstate. Doors to room seal well and block out most noise from hallways (good idea on the door sweep)."
"Doing construction and the fitness center wasn't great. However all the staff was excellent and our room was clean. Would recommend"
"I'm going to have to agree with other recent comments regarding the cleanliness, or lack thereof, of the rooms. This place is in need of an entire refurbishment. The room smelled, and it was obvious that the cleaning has not been maintained over a period of time. The grime on most everything was not just a matter of not having been after the most recent stay by another guest, but a result of an accumulation of poor cleaning. See the photo I have attached of the charging station on the nightstand next to the bed. Think they just forgot to dust? Think again. We didn't want to touch a thing after seeing this. We stayed on points for a wedding last night, and after having checked into the room and going upstairs to change and leave for the venue, we were mortified by the smell and overall grubbiness of the place. During the wedding , my wife and I talked and agreed that after we left the reception, we were just going to go back to the room and collect our things and drive back home. Bottom line, I wasted points to use the room as a changing station, and then had to drive two and ahalf hours to arrive home at 1:30 AM. My advice is to find another place to stay while in this area. The Hampton in Avon would be a much better option."
"I will preface this review by saying we have stayed here many times in the past, and everything has been very good. For our September, 2023 stay the people were good, but the hotel was not. Carpet was dirty and smelled really bad. The smell in the room was terrible. Somebody had turned off the air conditioner and the room was nasty. We turned it back on easy enough, but the smell was still terrible the next morning. This hotel needs to be refurbished to return to its prior good form. We would not go back unless we hear there was a refurbishing project."
