"I have shopped at this store for at least 40 years. The people are nice, the store is clean, and their meat department is great. On the negative, their prices are high, and for some bizarre reason they elected to install self-checkout and remove three of their registers. I tried these once and found myself pulling out what's left of my hair. What confuses me most is, if someone has to constantly assist customers with these mechanical atrocities, then what can this possibly save a store? Now the checkout times are longer, because they only have two full service registers, and rarely are they both manned. Folks, high prices and less service are generally not good bed fellows. I will still shop IGA, because of the previously mentioned items, but I will also visit other stores, where they also have poor checkout service, but lower prices."
