"Would give a 0 stars but that is not an option they would not accept me because they claimed I did not meet their criteria and basically because I was 2 months clean that I was not an addict"
"I thought as an addict in active addiction looking for help even if it was only Information pertaining to another facility who could/would detox me and possibly save a life I would be greeted with respect and kindness. But instead I Was met withDirect and rude approach. J only want help and after 3 weeks of searching without insurance or money I am yet to to get any. But this was the first time I have been cut short and pawned off so easily. I mean is it this hard to save or youth and help someone begging for a better life. Smh"
"This is a really good place if you are serious about wanting to recover. There is a lot of freedom In this program seeings you can leave everyday to work so I would say that this is not the best choice of program if you are coming straight off of the drugs you should pry go to a higher level of care first then here. When your on campus it is pretty structured not a lot of free time they definitely don’t just want your money as others have said they Hardily take anything that compare to the services and food and shelter they provide speaking of witch there is an amazing cook there Mike he prepares all the food which is of 5 star quality a lot of variety and always good. Staff really cares for you here they want to see you succeed really it all depends on what attitude you bring to the table that determines how sussceful and good your stay here will be. Thank you to all the staff for everything y’all do."
"They don’t seem to care if you really want the help or not. More than half the people that are in there leave everyday to “work” but are out selling drugs and ruining lives. If they feel you need more help than they can give you, tough... they discharge you and you’re on your own. Some of the staff on hand are recovering addicts themselves but are not understanding nor sympathetic to what some are going through (one even quit because he didn’t agree with the way some are treated). The counselor never once returned phone calls in regards to my loved one. What breaks my heart is some people are desperately seeking help for issues they can’t get a handle on and this place doesn’t seem to care. To sum it up, The Shoulder claims to be Christian based.. I never saw Christ in my experiences here. God doesn’t turn his back on people. God doesn’t judge. God loves us all and it breaks my heart that this place turned their back on my loved one."
"Great recovery organization that help's you cope with the addictions of drug's and alcohol or any other addiction. Has many options for you to choose from with help from several people with the same problems that you are having."
