Hampton Inn & Suites Munster

"This was by far the worse experience I have had staying at a hotel. The first desk staff Gena was extremely rude. I came down to get clarification about a noise compliant a she stated the security was able to hear my room in particular soon as he got off the elevator. I asked could I be moved to another floor she then replied rudely saying they were sold out. I ask what Was the refund policy she said they were not giving back refunds an I could contact the general manager. When I asked for the information she slapped the card down on the counter. So, I called the number listed on the card a she answered an I ask to speak with the manager a she then puts the security guard on the phone named Sam. I asked him if he was indeed the manager he said yes manages both hotels the Hampton an the homewood suites. They both were very rude the poorest customer service to receive. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel solely asked on their staff. I definitely will not be returning at all. I stayed there this past Saturday January 20th an checked out January 21st"

"They didn't honor perks of Hilton Honors members. No late check out, and charged my card 3 different times at different rates. How that happened I don't know. We stayed 3 nights 4 days and were supposed to get 1 day of housekeeping, which also didn't happen. When I went to the front desk for supplies she acted as if I was bothering her. The facilityand grounds were clean, room, breakfast, and location are 5 star. But the front desk service is unsatisfactory, but I read previous comments and apparently this is how they usually are, which is unfortunate for that to be the case on the mid day and night shifts primarily."

"Beautiful hotel, rooms super spacious and beautifully done. Breakfast great. Only complaint was rooms weren't ready at 3 as told. Was almost 3:30 before we could get into our rooms. Almost late for our event. Staff pleasant though."

"I dont usually post, but I need to do so this time. I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's but never this one again. The 1st room I had was musty, and the 2nd smelled like a locker room. The front desk tried hard to accommodate me, but there wasn't much they could do with rooms that smelled. The other huge issue was Marijuana. The smell was everywhere, including in my room. There is a form you sign when checking in stating you will not smoke inside or will be charged a $300 fine. Their solution was to spray Lysol. The muffins this morning were also stale and there were also no gluten free or breakfast bar options. The bed and shower were great, in case that is all you need in a room."
