Jared has been very relatable and helpful according to my son. It also helps that sessions are available after 5 PM most days."
"In August 2017 I accidentally scheduled an appointment with Jared when I intended to be seeing a doctor in his office. I am so thankful for the mix up! I have now been seeing Jared regularly for the past 1 1/2 years. He has helped me tremendously in transitioning through a phase of life I was afraid to face. I recently moved away from Tuscaloosa and couldn't imagine starting over with another therapist... Jared kept me as a patient and we now have face time sessions. "My son lived out of town and went to Jared for help. He was having my son pay $40-60 co-pay each visit. I have supplemental insurance which pays me back for copays. However, for some reason the refunds were sent back to Jared. After I contacted the insurance it took a couple of weeks to get the process rolling to get my money back to me. I spoke to the Jared's receptionist multiple times asking about the money. Once she told me that the money had come in it was about another 3-4 weeks before I received a partial payment with no explanation. I called and was told that my son had missed an appointment and there was a $100 fee held out. This was right before Christmas and money was very tight so I asked if there was any way to wave the fee this once and refund me the $100. I was told that only Jared could make that decision. I left a message for him to call me which he never did. After about a dozen messages I showed up at his practice. He was very smug and acted like I was "harassing" his receptionist about the situation. I let him know that if he had bothered to return my call and explain then I wouldn't have been there. He may have been ok as a counselor, but I have no respect for someone who runs a business that refuses to answer legitimate calls. If he had even showed me any understanding rather than the smugness that he showed I would not have written this bad review. I understand that my son broke the rules, but I didn't break any and deserved the common courtesy of speaking to me for an explanation of why he wouldn't consider returning my $100. My son will NOT be back to Jared!"
