"Though my husband received adequate physical therapy (they slacked off and left the room towards the end), their billing practices are suspect. My husband started therapy on 3/16/2023. The entire time he received therapy, he thought it was being covered by either Medicare or Humana. They even wanted him to continue for 2 more weeks and assured him that his insurance would pay for it. However, on 04/29/2023, my husband received a bill from them saying he owed $320.00. That is almost 7 weeks without a bill. We paid the bill and my husband stopped going. Then, on 06/06/2023, we received a bill for $40.00 for services rendered on 04/26/2023 & 04/27/2023. We tried to find where to officially complain on their billing practices but The Alabama Board of Physical Therapist has no jurisdiction over fees or billing practices of PTs or PTAs. I am not sure if any governing body does. So, if you choose to use Professional (ha) Therapy Services, be well aware of their unprofessional billing practices."
