"Dr.Zimmerman is an excellent doctor who listens and puts your concerns to rest however this review is about the office. The care I’ve received has been concerning. I go in to do labs and I don’t get an clarification on my results, I barely even get contacted about my results. Assumptions are made and it feels negligent"
"I will start by saying this review is not reflective of Dr. Zimmerman herself, as I was never allowed the opportunity to meet her. I was also asked to review the treatment I received, which I was refused, so there is nothing to review there. I was thanked for "choosing" this clinic; however, I did not choose it at all. Finally, my review is not necessarily reflective of the one person with whom I DID speak; I assume this person's official job title was receptionist but it could have been one of the nurses just picking up the phone. This review is primarily reflective of my experience with the clinic overall, and the Baptist "medical" system to which it belongs, as well as the office supervisor, with whom I did not speak. It's unfortunate--I had my son at Baptist East, and I had an overall decent experience. This system has definitely gone in the toilet in the past 2 years. To start, I am a disabled veteran; for the purposes of this public review, I will not disclose my percentage or my disability, but I will disclose that both were directly relevant to my experience here. The Department of Veteran's Affairs Community Care program referred me to this clinic, claiming that this was the only female provider in their network within 100 miles of my home. Once I had confirmed my appointment, I received a message with information regarding said appointment; one such piece of information stated masks are required. Due to my disability, I am unable to wear one, but since these were implemented in 2020 I have had only one issue (with one provider out of the 13 I have seen) calling the office in advance and receiving a reasonable accommodation or exception in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. I have even willingly provided documentation when illegally asked. When I called this office, I was told that, per the supervisor, it is a Baptist Health policy, and that no reasonable accommodation would be provided. As such, I was forced to cancel my appointment. All of my other providers discontinued their mask requirements months ago, but I *was* asked by the receptionist how I've "managed" to see the doctor without a mask. I advised her that receiving an ADA-required reasonable accommodation has simply never been an issue, but forgot to also inform her that only one of the other 12 medical providers myself and my son have seen still has a mask requirement. After this phone call, I reached out to another area women's clinic. Turns out, they do have a female provider, and they are in the Community Care network, so I was able to get an appointment. When I broached the mask issue, the receptionist was very kind, laughed lightly, and advised me that they did away with their mask requirement a long time ago. She also advised me that virtually no provider in the area still has a mask requirement. I am thankful I was able to find a good clinic and provider in the area, but I am very disappointed that this clinic and Baptist Health refused an appointment for a disabled veteran DUE TO that veteran's service-connected disability. I do not recommend this clinic, because if this is how the entire Baptist system treats humans, I wouldn't want to go to any clinic within that system."
