Reviews
"I read all the reviews about Dr. David McKee, and I was so nervous about my appointment with him because of all the terrible things I read. When I tell you I was SHOCKED after my appointment because he was literally the sweetest person. I was terrified because I was bleeding at 9 weeks pregnant and was certain I was having a miscarriage and my normal Dr wasn’t in the office today so he was recommended to me by one of the nurses. He made me feel so safe to talk to him and he listened to all my concerns and was very attentive. He’s so kind and I LOVED him as a OB!"
"Dr. McKee delivered my baby Mary Allison Burke in 1985. He was wonderful and kind. Since then she passed away in 2012 and what a wonderful daughter she was. Jan Burke now Atkinson."
"I should’ve listened to the reviews on Dr Mckee and his nurse the first time i read them (there were quite a few bad ones) but i wanted to give him the benefit doubt because he seemed like a nice man. Since about 20 weeks mckee and his nurse and the staff over all has been making my pregnancy harder than it needs to be. First im going to start with the fact that one nurse told me that he said he saw what appeared to be an aminotic band in my uterus. When i called back to get more information from him or his actual nurse terry, nobody got back with me until a week or so later. By that time maternal and feetal had already confirmed he was wrong. And when terry did call she sounded dry on the phone like she didnt really wanna talk and with this being my first pregnancy and hearing some news like that her sarcastic attitude irritated me quite a bit. Never the less i let it slide and still decided to stay with them. When i saw maternal and feetal the dr there had asked if Mckee had any knowledge of my previous cancer i told him yes and he then asked what was he doing about it as far as keeping a watch, i told him nothing. The dr looked shocked at my response because obviously that’s supposed to be important to an obgyn over seeing a ovarian cancer survivor. Hell almost every visit he asked the SAME question about my scar and i have to remind him about the cancer so he really just didnt care in my opinion. When i went to the dr on the 3rd of November i was supposed to go in for my sugar test. Im 23 weeks and Mckee had told me thats what we would be doing this visit at the previous visit. While i was waiting to take it the nurse Terry told me that i had to be 24 weeks to take it and i said well why did he give me instructions for it last time and set it for this week. All she said was that i was to early and that she was sorry. On top of them sitting me in a room that havent been cleaned and it was very obvious a pap smear was performed before i came the paper was still on the bed with the liquid on it where the woman wouldve been laying it was disgusting. It seems like Mckee and his nurse doesnt communicate with eachother very well. And Mckee acts as if he doesnt know what hes doing anymore. I agree with the previous review’s on him that its about time for him to retire because hes not equipped for the job anymore. I ended up changing drs at 23 weeks because i just couldnt do it anymore with those 2. He doesnt pay attention, listens, nor does he has the best attitude and her attitude just sucks over all she needs to find another profession as well."
"I had my daughter by c-section with Dr. McKee and he did a wonder job throughout my entire pregnancy. He is very direct and I recommend him to anyone who is look for a good OB doctor!"
"Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with Dr. David McKee Jr. as my daughter's on call Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He seems like he should retire since his bedside manner is exceptionally poor. I would not wish his lack of compassion and understanding on anyone, especially not on a young woman during such a vulnerable and emotional time as childbirth. It was very disappointing that we were not made aware Dr. McKee Jr. would be on call the weekend of my daughter's delivery. His years of experience have apparently left him desensitized or, perhaps, he was just having a bad day - but either way, his attitude was entirely unacceptable. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this physician."
