"Beautiful place it was once full of homeless people and graffiti when they Filmed Hard Target with Jean Claude Van Damme improved greatly"
"Nice, quiet, refurbished bit of architectural history from the 1970’s"
"Pleasant little plaza. It is a visually interesting public space. It's worth going out of your way a couple of blocks to check out."
"We really enjoy the Piazza d’Italia and love to sit on its shady benches listening to the water features. This is a little realized area and almost never crowded. Originally built to commemorate the contribution of Italian immigrants to New Orleans it was also featured in the 1984 Worlds Fair. This is a nice spot to sit and relax or admire the architecture."
"One of the greatest landmarks of postmodern architecture anywhere, Piazza d'Italia was designed by architect Charles Moore, completed in 1978, and meticulously restored in 2018 for the Tricentennial of New Orleans. Piazza d'Italia was featured on the cover of Charles Jencks' classic book on the language of postmodern architecture. A "must see" in New Orleans."
