University Health Services - Ole Miss

"My freshman son visited the on-campus health center for a lingering cold. The charges on 2 separate visits amounted to over $400 because the facility only accepts a few health insurance providers. Aetna PPO is not in network. When I talked to the business office staff, they women who answered the phone was immediately defensive and passed me to her supervisor. Her supervisor also came on the phone very defensive and told me I wasn't understanding of the situation. Incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. I can't believe the health services student clinic in a state institution doesn't accept health insurance. Shocking. Add that to the over $55K in out of state tuition. Make sure you get every dollar you can!"

"I enjoyed the ease of going to Employee Health and the pharmacy. The receptionist was awesome...she printed my insurance card for me. The nurse who checked my vitals was super sweet. The doctor was very caring as well. I would say in this peak season, please test for every cold/flu season illness if possible, even if all the signs aren't there yet. I was only tested for two and those were negative. I would still recommend going to Employee Health!!! A true blessing."

"My experience with employee health has always been excellent. There is no waiting, the staff are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, and Dr. Turner is so thorough. She gives you her 100% attention. I appreciate having the convenience of this facility here on campus. Even though the parking is impossible (as it is all over campus), the staff and service I receive is worth it."

"My visit to Employee Health is always enjoyable, and the services are excellent! They listen to my concerns and always ensure my needs are met. I have never experienced a long waiting period, and If I need to make an appointment, I am seen immediately. Everyone is so lovely, and I love that Ms. Susan will call to remind us of our appointments. That is a service much appreciated. Dr. Turner and Spears and all the staff are great, and we are happy to have them on campus."
