"I went on a free entry day. I really enjoyed walking around to see the mounds up close. It was a very nice day, so that made the experience even better. The area is wide open and there are not a lot of trees or shady spots, so keep that in mind if you go. The inside exhibits are currently being worked on, so if you are wanting to see that part you may want to call and see when that will reopen. For now they just have the gift shop and the mounds open."
"Immerse yourself in the rich history of Native American culture at this historical site. Explore ancient artifacts, learn about traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of the indigenous peoples who once thrived here. It's a powerful and enlightening experience that offers a glimpse into the past."
"The visitor's center is going through a whole refurbish so the displays were not available for viewing. I can tell when this work is all done this is going to be a really amazing place. There is a 2 mile hike around the multitude of different mounds. It was so hot (90+) so were weren't able to go to the mounds farther on the property. I live in an area where there are many Hopewell mounds and was amazed at the variety and size of each these mounds. Definitely a place to return and explore when the weather is cooler."
"Nice walking trails - just wish they were a little better marked (hard to find for a first-timer). Also, it’s nature so this isn’t a criticism, but watch out for ants!"
"Pretty historic place with trails around the park to bike, run or jog. People bring their dog for a walk around the park. Didn't get to visit the main building as it shuts down at 5. There's a mound across the parking lot don't miss to see it on your way in"
