"I had my first appointment with Abolade while working at Lear Corporation. I had just left Lear Corporation and was told that while uninsured I would be able to be seen by Abolade without fee. When it came time for my next appointment, front desk told me I would have to pay full self pay rate, so I would have moved the appointment in anticipation of having insurance later. It's happened a couple of times and I informed front desk multiple times of what was going on. When I finally got insurance, scheduled appointment, and came in, Dr Abolade walked me all the way to his office just to tell me that I am a "Red flag" and he will not see me even though I explained the situation to him, so now I have to find a new doctor again. I felt judged and attacked but honestly have come to expect this from mental health care, I've yet to find an actual empathetic doctor. I didn't realize not having insurance for a while and not being able to pay would cause such a problem, especially since I had talked to front desk numerous times. The way he talked to me made it sound like I'm some scam artist up to no good or willfully causing problems. The more I try to seek mental help the more I feel like mental Healthcare practitioners must want me to attempt suicide or something before they'll actually be willing to help."
"I found Dr.Babatunde Abolade to be a difficult and umempathetic doctor. He lacks bedside manner and seems concerned with being "right" and being smarter than his patients rather than be concerned about the wellness of his patients. He gets angry and goes on rants / tirades. I would advise prospective patients to look for other options."
"Dr. Abolade is extremely kind, professional and caring. The whole staff is wonderful. I receive appt. reminders and they are always helpful."
"Dr. Babatunde Abolade is an absolute JERK and has the patience and compassion of a ROCK--he deserves ZERO stars! I do not know who would pay money or waste their time with this rude, inconsiderate man masquerading as a mental health professional. Mental health is the last field in which he needs to be practicing. In actuality, he seems to be mentally unstable himself. God only knows how many people have needlessly suffered, either from waiting an eternity to get an appointment or actually interacting with this discourteous and impolite man. Definitely consider alternative providers; he is not fit to care for those who are mentally and emotionally vulnerable."
"This was the most horrific experience. The physiatrist is awesome. She listens and is very helpful and comforting. The psychologist is very rude and should not be licensed to practice anywhere in the world. He ended my sessions and escorted me out because I expressed to him that my insurance was covering my visit as well as I paid a co pay and he does not have the right to dismiss my feelings or speak to me in a derogatory tone. I'm so glad that God is blessing and working on me. I'm glad that I know God and wasn't suicidal or on edge. That whole experience could have been tragic. God bless anyone that is seeking him as an MD. He obviously doesn't have any empathy or sympathy for the patients that pay his bills. Please seek help somewhere else. This was truly a sign to seek God and trust him because man doesn't have your best interest at heart."
