"Excessive wait times. Came in with drainage and extremely sore throat. Could hardly speak my throat was so sore and told assistant/nurse it felt like hot sauce was draining down my throat. She told me the only thing she would be testing for is Covid. When I asked if she could test for strep, she said you haven't said your throat is sore. So I proceeded, through strained voice, to tell her again my throat was very sore. Assistant/nurse lightly touched my uvula instead of back of pharynix and tonsils when swabbed. Lightly stuck swab in each nostril barely touching my nose hairs for covid and doctor returned in 5 minutes saying everything was negative. I let the doctor examine and ask his questions. When I said I didn't want any medicine without knowing exactly what I had and asked for a respiratory panel or send out throat cultures the doctor said it was most likely a sinus infection and said he would give me a steroid shot. He also said they dont have the correct swabs. I said I didn't want a steroid shot without confirmation of what I had. Then I'm handed a prescription with doxycycline antibiotic and cough syrup on it. I confirmed again why they would not send out further testing before prescribing steroids or antibiotics and another nurse said they don't do send outs. I then asked how they were going to send my cultures out for my foot wounds when I came in months ago and they said they do send outs for those. So that indicates they do perform send outs and pick and choose which supplies to order for certain send outs. There was no attempt to contact their send out lab for swab confirmation or alternate swabs and media broth that could be used for respiratory panels. I know some patients expect a quick fix and dont care what they have to do for that to happen. I said I wanted to confirm whether I had human rhinovirus, RSV, different species of flu A. I'm not the patient looking for quick fix meds to make the pain go away, I'm the patient that wants the right treatment for the right diagnosis. Steroid shot? No thanks. Doxcycline without visual puss on tonsils or a positive test? No thanks. I made the comment that without diagnostic testing that this was a waste of time and money. The nurse said "then don't come back" twice. In my opinion, based off long wait times, they are just trying to crank out diagnosis and treatment and get the patients in and out with the lowest level commitment to quality service as possible. Also important to mention that when brought back to room, the assistant/nurse did not smile or have any semblance of a good mood. The laughing behind my closed room door wasn't polite either. Out of almost 50 good reviewsfor other businesses, this will be one of seven bad reviews I've ever left. This place deserves the bad review. It should also be noted, the same nurse that said "don't come back" is the same nurse from months ago who firmly put a bandaid over my infected foot while my fiance was in the room and caused me to wince from her heavy handedness. I should not have given this place a second chance but the doctor was very kind previously. It should additionally be said that just because a patient is disappointed in their service and may not want to come back, you should never tell them not to come back at a doctor's office. This isn't a Wendy's or Arby's, it's a place people go to get diagnosed correctly and effectively when they could potentially be too ill to function at their best."
"On December 12, 2023, I began to feel sick. I searched around Montgomery for an urgent care that didn’t have 500 people waiting. I then drove to OurMed. The line was not long. The patients who were waiting were as mature as I am and the staff members were friendly. After speaking with the triage nurse, the knowledgeable team at Our Med quickly identified my ailment and began to treat me with the latest most advanced treatment. Dr. Mclemore explained my options. I left there feeling confident that I had received the best care possible. Thanks again OurMed for caring for me in my time of need. The only thing I wish that was different at your clinic is your hours. I wish you could be 24/7, but I know the strain that is usually place on your profession and understand the limited resources and hours."
"I have been going here the past year. This last time I was treated so rudely by the front staff and nurses. The doctors have always been nice, but between how rude the front staff and nurses were and the wait times, I will not come here anymore for my urgent care needs."
"I will never go here again. I arrived at 3:26 pm. As I write this it's 6:00 pm. The lady forgot my chart and I was no seen. No apologies or anything. Then asked if I wanted to go somewhere else. I made my copayment now really!!!"
"I was hesitant to come due to the negative reviews, but found almost all urgent care centers around here seem to have negative reviews post Covid. Took a chance and came here, found the front desk staff nice, kind and efficient. Everything went smoothly as they called me up a few times for paperwork and more insurance details etc Clean waiting room. There were 10 other people there waiting when I was there and google said “slower than usual” so I would hate to see how crowded it is at a “busier than usual” time frame. I was there start to finish roughly for 2 hours. Doctor was quick and to the point, but was kind and didn’t waste time my time or his. Smiled and did give me time to ask any questions I had when he asked if I had any. Tech came in less than 3 minutes after he finished to give me injection and prescription. Everything flowed well and quite quickly once I was taken back. I plan to use them again, however, if I was having a migraine crisis (not what I came in for today) I don’t know that I would do so well waiting for 2+ hours as it would escalate past the point of any help urgent care could provide with that amount of wait time. But for what I came for today that time waiting doesn’t affect severity of what I’m coming for (strep test today), it’s faster than the ER and same day treatment vs waiting for PCM to open up schedule to fit me in etc. For urgent care I think they do a great job and it was nice hearing the laughter and staff working well together as a team and seemed to enjoy their jobs - everyone had a smile on their face and that goes a long ways as well as genuine kindness."
