"Not my regular hygienist. Ashley is my regular and she is amazing but was on vacation. The hygienist I had on 1/19/24 was filling in from another practice. Not as professional, experienced or as friendly as my regular hygienist. I will always schedule my visits based on Ashley taking care of me."

"In hindsight I wish I had been more critical and read more reviews before I came here. I’ve only had professional and honest dentists in the past so I assumed they were all like that. This place exists just to sell Invisalign, you can tell if you read more of the reviews that don’t sound purchased on here. I’ve never had a dentist mention Invisalign to me as something I needed before and halfway through my first checkup, they are trying to get me to agree to a $4k out of pocket expense for a treatment that I did not need, even the front desk staff got in on the pushy sales pitch. They are responding to reviews like mine saying that all treatments are “just a suggestion”, but that’s obviously ridiculous: if a medical professional tells you that you need a treatment, it’s a recommendation not a “suggestion”. Just a clear attempt to take advantage of people. On top of that, the hygienist was rough with my teeth, they were very sensitive for almost a week after which I’ve never experienced before. There are much better places even a few blocks away, don’t go here!"

"I’m not usually one to take the time to write reviews, so that proves how impressed I am with my experience at Smiles On Michigan. I have been visiting this dental office for the past couple of years and have always appreciated how kind, helpful and competent the employees are during my bi-annual cleanings. I recently had a few cavities filled by Dr. Bader, let’s just say flossing wasn’t my thing, and that is what prompted my review. I was expecting the experience to be rather terrible, as many would assume when spending time with a drill in your mouth, but the thoughtfulness around my unease, the speed of the procedure and the precision were definitely something to praise. I would absolutely recommend Smiles On Michigan and look forward to returning, although hopefully not more than twice a year for my cleanings, as flossing and I are now good friends."

"I went in for a routine cleaning and left feeling like this place was a scam. I've never had major dental issues, yet the dentist was trying to recommend I pay $3k for Invisalign. Obviously I declined. And who knows? Maybe another dentist will recommend the same thing. But the way it was brought up was very pushy and off putting, like they were trying to squeeze every last dollar out of me, especially after the cleaning itself involved unexpected out-of-pocket cost on my end. Stupidly, upon leaving my appointment, I scheduled my next routine cleaning with this office. By the time I got home, I received a text asking me to book yet another appointment to address issues that were never even discussed during my time in their office. Rather than deal with an office that seems to be focused on money more than anything, I asked them to just cancel all future appointments and I'd find another dentist whose priorities aligned with mine. They assured me they canceled all future appointments. Despite this, I received a call today - three months after my last appointment - asking me to confirm an upcoming appointment. The lack of communication is astounding and the phone call I received today just solidified my decision to leave a negative review. So maybe they'll see this: I'd like to cancel any and all future appointments. I will not be returning."
