"We just moved here from Tennessee and started our healthcare for our family with Crestwood. On Thursday morning I had an appointment with Nurse practitioner Kenneth Batchelor for swollen lymph nodes and tenderness. At the time of the appointment he ordered labs for me and told me if symptoms got worse, we could begin antibiotics. I was told the lab results would be shared via phone and usually takes about 24 hours. By Friday morning, I started to feel worse and it became clear to me that I had strep throat. When I planned to call the office I received a call from Patsy, the nurse and was told all of my labs came back good except one result was inconclusive. I told Patsy that my throat was very sore and swollen tonsils, I was now running a low grade fever, and that I need the CPRN to call in the antibiotic please, as promised. She told me she would relay the info. By Friday night there was no RX called in. I called the Crestwood after hours number on Saturday morning. And was told the doctor would call me back in a half hour. I waited 3 hours, no call. I called again around 2 pm and was told they would send in the request again. Waited all evening, no call. It is now Sunday morning. My throat is so sore and swollen, I am so frustrated. I thought I would try one more time so - just called again at 7 am. this morning. I hopped in the shower. And of course, Murphy’s law, received a call back. When I returned the call 10 minutes later, I was told the Physician on call left a message for me to go to an urgent care clinic. What!!!???? Wow. So I guess the care I receive from Crestwood is not only disappointing and unreliable, it is non-existing. Thanks for nothing, Crestwood, but I will be taking my and my family’s healthcare needs elsewhere."
"EDIT May 7: I was contacted by a practice manager the day after writing the original review below. After a couple days of phone tag we spoke about my experience. I was assured that the matter would be handled as soon as possible via additional training and internal policy reviews. The quick and personal response to my review and the guarantees that this would be corrected has DEFINITELY made my wife and I feel better about continuing to be patients at this practice. As promised I have amended my review back up to 5 stars and, unless future updates are made that would cause me to reduce it, you can be assured that the problems have been resolved and it is back to the well oiled machine it once was. Thank you for taking my concerns seriously and addressing them quickly Crestwood Medical Group! May 4, 2021: This place ran like a well oiled machine before Dr. Mayer retired. Lately it's like pulling teeth to get a callback to discuss med changes even after you've been told you'd get a call back on a certain date/time about a certain issue. I know the potential this place has and the quality of care they can give and I will happily update my review should they get it together - but until I see these changes i'm giving 3 (really 2.5) stars, which is down from a previous 5."
"The best thing about this place was Dr. Whitfield. You felt that she genuinely cared about you. She would send you for testing to find out how to eliminate the problem. Now just treat it and she actually listens to you. Even her nurse Hanna listens to you. You can feel the love and concern. Now that she's no longer there. WE'LL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! The new doctor is a joke. He doesn't even touch you. Won't listen or talk to you. If you were going there. Here's my advice. FIND YOURSELF ANOTHER DOCTOR! We'll follow Dr. Whitfield to the moon gratefully! She and Hanna have truly blessed our lives."
"My first visit with Dr Whitfield was great. Trying to see the Dr or even make an appointment to see the Dr anytime after that has been a nightmare. She is never in the office. And my insurance isn't taken by the physicians assistant they have available. Three months of waiting to get in for an appointment. Mainly because the Dr is out of the office. Once they recommend I go to the ER, and the second time they recommend urgent care, (also doesn't accept my insurance). Why have a practice if you're never going to be open and working? Do yourself a favor and find another office. Phone staff is also rude beyond belief, won't listen and interrupts when you're trying to to speak."
"I had my first and last interaction when I showed up for my appointment for three of my children. My first and last interaction with this office was horrible. I showed up 10 minutes before the appointment time, but was told that my daughter was a no-show because we were not there a half hour early. They claim that the half hour time frame is for paperwork, which we had fully completed.I then got an attitude from receptionist about how she had already talked to my wife and explain to her that she needed to be early, although my wife had told them the circumstances regarding why we were not going to be able to be over a half hour early to the appointment. I took my paperwork back, as well as my insurance and everything else, and I'm taking my business elsewhere. If this is how they are going to treat new patients, then that is not anywhere that I want to do business with for anything."
