"Our child woke up having with a cough and some difficulty breathing - arrived and was taken back almost immediately. We had never had a child emergency so we were uncertain if we should go here or children downtown. We made the decision to go here first as it was closer and breathing related. Also could bring both parents so that was nice! In our room, the Nurse came in very quick and identified cause as croup. Doctor within 20 and recofnirmed then we had first breathing treatment within first 30 minutes. Steroid shortly after and a second treatment before we were released to go home with prescription. We were pleasantly surprised by how efficient and nice everyone was for 1 in the morning. Luckily nothing worse but would go back if we needed emergency care! Last emergency visit to Grandview was 6 hours of waiting and when we were in florida almost 8 hours before anything so compared to those this was great! I never have high expectations for emergency care but I am relieved we were in and out with such good care so quickly!"
