"Make sure you’re ready to advocate for yourself. It’s a shame the receptionists are all extremely rude and snicker behind the glass and act like you don’t know you’re own insurance plan because Dr. Stephens was extremely sweet. When I tried to explain my plan, I had asked them to call the number on the back of my card. They seemed HIGHLY annoyed. It wasn’t until I got the phone with my insurance adjuster that they decided to call. They then proceeded to lie and say that got a recording. No. They didn’t want to go through the prompts. They all gave nasty looks, dipped off and started whispering and snickering to each other. My insurance ended up calling them and proving them wrong. Then I got brought back to a dirty room as pictured. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable at a doctor’s office in my life and it’s all mainly cause the reception area people were extremely rude and frankly judgmental. Never again. I won’t be back. I’ll find a new specialist. I hope they take a long hard look at their desk staff. They’re ruining the reputation of a great doctor."

"My family and I always receive excellent care from Dr. Lake and his staff. He is very thorough and his knowledge is unmatched. We can trust him to be honest and straight forward with kindness and sincere concern. It is always a pleasure to visit with him."

"I have no complaints about the care the medical staff offers if you can manage to see a doctor. If you call, you're immediately put on hold for an endless amount of time to never be talked to again (I waited 45 minutes last time before I had to hang up). For some issues, they have a service where you can leave a message. I have used this service and never received any response (I waited days). When I finally called back to speak to a person, they had no record of the message I left and had don’t nothing to address my request. You would be better off physically going to the office to get information or schedule appointments, which isn’t realistic or feasible for many. If you can manage to secure an appointment, they will leave you waiting in the lobby for 45+ minutes after your scheduled appointment time—and that isn’t including the additional 20 minute wait once they stick you in a patient room. It is obviously a busy practice but the lack of consideration for patients’ time is unacceptable. Long wait times negatively impact the most vulnerable populations, limiting their access to health care and deteriorating their trust that medical professionals have their best interest at heart, thereby diminishing health outcomes. Please do better."
