"BEWARE! DOES NOT HONOR QUOTES! I contacted JB’s Salvage by phone to arrange for a parked car to be picked up. After asking for the details on the car, I was offered $230. I mentioned that I also had an electric lawn mower and weed eater and asked if they would make it an even $250. They agreed. I was told that the next step was to bring the paperwork (NOT the car, mind you, just the paperwork) to their office, followed by “then we can schedule a time to pick it up.” I remember this so clearly because it made me wonder how booked out they might be and how many days it might take to actually pick up the car. When I showed up with my paperwork and reminded them of the phone discussion and their quote of $250, the guy’s immediate response was, “Well, I don’t know about that.” So he was already trying to get out of paying the amount they quoted me. Sure enough, he said they would have to take off $100 to pick up the car, that the $250 was to bring the car to them. THIS WAS A LIE! They clearly knew the car would have to be picked up…otherwise there would have been no reason for me to schedule a time or to bring only the paperwork to their office. I was cheated out of that money and the ease and shamelessness with which it was done tells me this is standard business practice for JB’s Salvage. Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well. Avoid doing business with this company!"
