"I use to go here but as I’m getting older went to a place close by. I was told my head gasket was leaking & flunked the tests (what tests?-I knew some from googling) probably needing engine but definitely a water pump. I just felt they were not eager to do further testing or steps to rule out the need for another engine. They seemed too eager for getting me another engine. That was quoted at several thousand dollars with a used engine & with many miles. No good explaining about anything just vagueness. I decided I needed a 2nd opinion & I trusted Jeff at Pendleton Auto Care. He gives the pro’s & cons. Jeff’s experience & skills as a mechanic shows through as he explains things. You can see he knows his stuff. And did I say I trusted him! He fixed my brakes that I was almost in an accident from & no trouble with them since. I loved the convenience of (the place I changed to) being on the corner, close by & their friendliness but one has to wholeheartedly trust your mechanic & get detailed explanations of what is going on. It feels respectful when you are offered detailed explanations of what they think is going on & then what they think needs done & why. So back to going further out but hopefully not as often; so worth it. As a retired RN & woman I needed someone to trust & Jeff was recommended then. BTW my car got a water pump & thermostat & confident my head gasket is not leaking but tells me he cannot be 100%. One test it passed at coolant & the exhaust pipe it did not. No coolant in the oil. Driven for very short time to shop when light alarm came on. Radiator good. He drove it a few days after putting the water pump/thermostat on & no overheating."

"Blower for my heat and a/c quit working. Called on a Thursday morning to see if they could look at my truck the next day to at least verify what was wrong. They said no problem so I dropped it off Thursday evening. Called me at 8:15 Friday morning to let me know what needed fixed. They had jumped right on it since I needed my truck back at the end of the day fixed or not. They said they would order the part and if it got there quick enough they could get it fixed that day so I wouldn’t have to come back. Sure enough they called me that afternoon to let me know it was finished! Super friendly and definitely willing to go the extra mile to help out in a pinch. Fair price also considering what everything costs in the current economy. Definitely recommend!!"
