"We had a friend that stayed here right after the holidays. This friend is very hard to please and deal with however he could not say enough good things about his stay here, he had nothing negative to say at all (which is the first). He stated they were "too good at their jobs" , he was treated with respect and they paid excellent attention to his health. He fell once in the middle of the night and said "before I even hit the floor I had 6 people in here checking on me and making sure I was ok". (he was having a restless dream). He's a picky eater and someone discovered he enjoyed fruit and made sure to always send him some up which made his day. Everyone we encountered was friendly to us, smiled, greeted us, and made sure we knew the procedures and plans. The facility appears to be VERY clean and extremely modern with up to date equipment. Shout out to the RN Carl who I witnessed treating his patients with respect and hasn't lost the fact that these patients who require care are real humans with human needs and emotions, multiplied with a lot going on that deserve to be spoken with and treated like he was an old friend. Being far away from home and have someone actually listen to you and communicate with you on the level you can comprehend shows a lot of who Carl is and hopefully what this company expects out of all its team. Thank you all."
"I had a great rehab experience after my hip replacement. Dr Rosemire is knowledgeable, answered all my questions daily. He was not “rushed” as my usual MD,s are. The facility and grounds are so nice. Food was good - highly recommend the collard greens. Therapy works you hard and therapy is excellent. I learned so much to go home with. Staff was attentive and caring. Very nice nurses. I wish I had come to Lakeshore when I had my first hip replacement."
"Just horrible. How can this place that’s supposed to be caring for people have 3 star reviews and not make any visible effort to change? I left my case manager multiple voicemails but cannot get through to her nor to her manager for days. I am left in the dark and cannot get an update on the condition of my father. Why are they allowed to continue operating like this? Update: my dad passed away. He was recovering well and was released by the hospital to your facility and within a week he died while in your care with clear signs of negligence and breach of duty. I don’t have the emotional/physical bandwidth to file a wrongful death claim but pray that God convicts you (if there are anyone in position of influence there with any fear of God) to make reforms so this doesn’t happen to any other family. We are devastated. I came to town to see how my dad was doing in rehab but now preparing for his funeral service"
"My husband was sent there for rehab for his hip. He supposed to stay 14 days . I stayed with him 4 days and then came home to check on my animals and shower and then go right back and stay with him 4 more days . The Social worker try to get him approved to stay some more days .But his insurance said no, so in 2 days he was supposed to come home .A nurse came in and decided that he was running a fever and told the doctor . The doctor did a C19 test and then said he had C19 and order me to leave the property. My husband said no. The doctor told my husband your not going anywhere, and my husband told the doctor, you want to make a bet on that !!! As we were getting everything together to leave , and was waiting on a wheelchair. They started to come in to make him do a little therapy .He just wanted to leave. On the way out as we walked by the nurses station, we heard a male nurse /therapist said , thats how you do it,get rid of them . I took my husband to the family doctor and they tested him for C19 and he didn't have it . I got tested as well ,I didn't have it neither. I found out later ,that was the way they were going to try and get more insurance by him staying longer. His insurance company called me and asked me about how he was treated. And I let them no . Very badly. I also turned it in about how some elderly patients was actually laying in their on waste and not being taking care of. I talked to a couple of nurses there and was told how the patients was being treated very badly. I was walking down the hallway on one of the days that i was there and walked by a room and a patient had no clothes on at all with the door open, he was begging for help and I witnessed a nurse telling him to shut the hell up .I would not even let my dogs go there. That how bad this place is. People you need to wake up and watch over your love ones. I found out later, the doctor there had my husband on medication that actually damages your lungs. He didn't really need to be on .My husband already has lung damage. This would have made things worse for him .His lung doctor caught it and said that was a big no no on this medication. So please keep a watch on your love one there. This place mistreats their patients.!!!!"
